While I agree with him that a wedding is not supposed to be expensive, I disagree with what they did to their friends on their wedding day. It's not right to put your friends and colleagues in awkward situations, where they feel compelled to save you and themselves from an embarrassing situation. That's low key a form of blackmail.

I sincerely wouldn't be happy with# a no plan wedding. If I were in the same shoes,with no budget & with such frustrations,I'd prefer we get prayed for in church & that's it. A gown,a suit ,family & friends invited plus congregants .A pastor,relevant preaching ,a prayer&we set out. I don't like the "no plan"kind of wedding. Banking on faith.If I don't have money for food,then ,no food.Clear. If there's no honeymoon,then it's clear.We go home. The in betweens just bog my mind. Why give out the last coin meant for shoes?
