Jacob is a beast, and Aaron is your favorite guitar player’s favorite guitar player. Long live Intervals!!!
Had a chance to meet Jacob after the tesseract/intervals show in Chicago last night. Super nice and humble guy with some sick chops. Hope for the band and Jacob’s continued success.
MY BOY JACOB GETTING LOVE!
To show how much I love Jacob, I clicked on this without looking at the length and thought it was just a few minutes. Come to find out, I have now been sitting here for an hour and just now realizing it.......
this guy is dope. Seeing the evolution of this band, and the genre, tons of bassist are coming out with incredible abilities. Its inspiring.
seems like such a homie, can't wait to see Intervals in November :D
The thing I love about intervals is, like Jacob said here, it’s very catchy and “simple” melodies but still technical and progressive. A lot of pentatonic, triads and, as their name implies, intervals, but the way the songs are structured and how Aaron moves through the pentatonic is super creative.
Cool interview 🤘
& new song fckin slaps
Not at all. Dude learned scales and thinks he knows.
lmfao this fucking comment
Love intervals, my top favorite band. Jacob is a beast on the bass! great interview !
Intervals is my favorite modern brand. Jacob you took them to another level! Of course Aaron is the man but your bass playing made it even better! No one writes hooks like Aaron! .
What a great interview! Great questions, really interesting.
Jacob is the man.
Intervals has always been Aarons project and it always will be. Aaron is the mohamed of Prog
Awesome interview of an awesome guy!
Fantastic interview!
P.I.E. please! Bring it back!
Having been a huge fan from day one and loving how Anup and Jakobs style complimented Aarons, and seeing them live when they had Mike on vocals, I was initially very disappointed when all of that fell apart but where the project went from there curbed the disappointment. It's just fun, funky, and the songs are super memorable. Especially "fable"! Amazing precision and playing. Love the look of the bass as well.
Mnemonic is SOO FKINGOOOOODD
SUCH A BEAST!!! Monster bass player for sure!!!
hell yeah
this guy IS a monster
Was? You mean IS?
Jacob is the portrait of a nerdy prog beast bass player
hah that first one was mnemonic
Monster player... and he pronounces Toronto correctly lol.
nice interview. do i hear a dutch accent? faint, but there
Using that mute sounds absolutely nothing like an upright lol.
I wounder what Marcus Miller would do with one of these???
