We have 3 points... * Precision Drill * Concert Formation * Dance Routine Closing- Taking it off with the Tubas coming off the field Im trying to illustrate to the WACK CONFERENCE pur show. We dont put our Axes/Instruments on the ground, we dont have our drum majors doing a Richard Simmons aerobics routine, we dont have P-Valley girls doint a strip tease act, and we dont invite The Fat Boys, Beasty Boys, or Henrietta Hippos on the show. We straight band and music, we dont do Hook-Boogie style, or some throw back high schoolish stunt shows. Yes, the Rattler was invented in Tallahassee not in the foot hills of some contry town... Do your research, the history is their with video receipts... You can keep glorifying Hook-Boogie, FAMU is good with that, we will never be a commentary book of the Bible, Dr. Foster wrote the Bible for Marching Bands... We are Hook-Boogie exempt...
We don't care if you don't get it. These bands don't need your permission to exist just as they are. They are the reason the crowds stay put at halftime meanwhile your alma mater band sounds like a bunch of kazoos signaling halftime is concession stand time. These are not corps style bands. These are Show Style bands with flavor. Nobody gives a dam m about your aversion to movement and flair
