- Join me as I walk down memory lane to my favorite east coast beach! As a family we found lots of beautiful sea shells and sea glass including some really beautiful Lion’s Paw Scallops which are my favorite shells! This is one of the most beautiful places in Florida.
Why did I return all the corals? I just recently found out that since 2009 you can't collect and take off the beach any DEAD stoney corals or sea fans (basically anything that would grow on a coral reef you can't take even if it's dead). Yes! You read right. I couldn't believe it and called Tallahassee myself and spoke with Lane Garrett from FWC, Marine Fishery Management who kindly explained it all. For more information you can read this article that I found helpful explaining it in layman terms: florida-beaches-info.com/can-...

What a fabulous shelling day! You found so many shells I’ve never heard of and some I didn’t know were here in Florida. And Conner, WOW, that kid has got his Moms eye for the good ones! Thanks for sharing your fun day at the beach!❤️🐚
Oh I just love it when the good ones roll in to our coast for sure! I have only found 2 of those Sozon's cones, this one and one in Hobe Sound in the 5yrs I've been shelling! Such fun memories!
Amen. It’s such a pleasure sharing and shelling. I love making things as I get enough shells. They make great gifts with a story
They sure do! I have many ideas of what I'd like to do with my shells but for now just collecting...hard to get the time to "do"...but that will come in it's time. Blessings!
WOW, those sea shells 🐚🐚 are amazing.
Thank you and thx for watching!
That beach had quite a variety of shells and beach glass. Your son has a very good eye for beach things. He’s becoming a wonderful collector all by himself. Maybe he should start a collection of his own. Then when he has a science fair he can take his bounty to school. Again thanks for sharing. Blessings from SC.
He sure is; ooooo our Connor :-) Great idea but as of this year we have started homeschooling him b/c with his ADHD he was getting too far behind in school and getting lost in the system. Thank you for watching in SC.
I pray all goes well with homeschooling. And I will also pray that the Lord will guide you and give you understanding in teaching him at a slower pace.
Oh my goodness, some beautiful shells there
Thank you; what FUN memories! Thx for watching.
omg this was so exciting!!...for me all those helmet and cowrie pieces would be phenomenal to have in a jar..I kept saying pick it up for me to the screen!! ha! similar to your special lions' paw pieces... one day I hope to visit Florida again... I agree pieces are great too! That's one good shell finder you have there, too! Thank you for sharing your family time at the beach with us!
Awesome! I'm so happy you enjoyed this trip! Oh I hope you can visit again too and have a blast. Blessings, thx for watching and take care!
Thank you for a lovely video...this is my 1st time to watcg!♡♡♡♡

Gorgeous!! Connor has a great eye like his mom.
Thank you! He is something else ❤️
Loved your beautiful shells!
Thank you!!
Love this beach for shelling 💜
So happy most of this area was donated to the state by MacArthur himself so we all now have the chance to experience this untouched part of Florida right in the middle of Palm Beach where just about every other stretch of beachfront is built upon. Thx for watching!
What great finds and a super great video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much!
Great day on the beach !! Nice haul !! Thank you !

Connor is a rock star! Great video!

Fantastic! Have only shelled Florida west coast but will be going to the east coast next February. I’m learning a lot from your videos about what shells there are on the east coast and getting excited to come shelling. Thanks!
I hope you have a wonderful time when you are here and find some treasures! Glad you have been enjoying the videos!
Love the scripture at the end, beautiful...
Oh what a blessing! So happy you enjoy that part too. I just couldn't leave God out of this channel personally--He has been so merciful in the riches of nature. Thank for watching!
Just found your channel. Loved the beach walk at John D Mcarthur state park. Lions Paws are my fave. Glad O found your channel ❤

I love how excited Conner gets when he finds shells!! Great shelling day and no better way to spend it than with family.
He sure does (still does). He has even cried over finding shells before being so excited (not sure I have that recorded or not...so many videos). Thank you for watching and yes no better way but with family AND great shells! Blessings!
Great Job Connor 🎉🎉🎉
He was fantastic! Thx for watching!
I'm in Florida this week. I've been having so much fun looking for shells. But I'm only finding tiny ones where I am. I did find 2 imperial Venus clams and a flat scallop. I need to head over to the east side of the state next time.
Yes! The east coast is great when it’s great! Palm Beach county to the Keys is the best on this side of the state and that is because the coral reefs are located along those areas. We have a steep drop off right after the sandbars from 10 feet plus that’s a factor that makes it harder for shells to wash ashore with ease like they can on the gulf coast. Thx for watching 👍🏼
Awesome job!❤
Thx 😊 Thank you so much for watching!
Love your videos 😊
Glad you like them! Thank you for watching🐚
Beautiful shells and pretty sea glass finds. Thank you for sharing.
The please is mine. Have a great week!
Thanks! 🐚😍
Thank YOU!
Thanks!
Richard you are the best! I'll put this towards the sign I'm going to design for your truck! lol Blessings always my friend!
@@FloridaBeachWalks in that case I better tip you a bunch more 😂 lol
@@ScrapDaddy-mb6vg You know I got your back!
Hey Roxann! Loved that big white cone...what was the name of it? It wasn't an Alphabet Cone, but something a little bit bigger. I don't think I've seen one of those before! Absolutely lovely finds from this trip 😁
Hey Maddie! The 2 cones I found was the faded Alphabet at 17:06 and the Sozon's Cone (Conasprella delessertii) at 17:28 both of those cones are in the Conidae family. Oh man this was one of my favorite trips for sure. Glad you enjoyed it! Take care!
@@FloridaBeachWalks Sozon's Cone, that's the one!! Thanks Roxann 🐚
Connor is quite the sheller!! i love how you shell, most channel i watch just walk past the shell piles because they are "common" shells. girl you just dig right in and look for those treasures! i will be in florida in july and have just 1 day to go to the east coast, was going to try palm beach, juno, and jupiter, is that do able in one day? which beaches would you choose?
Oh how exciting! Yes, if you do an all-dayer that is totally doable. Listing from south to north: Palm Beach I'd do MacArthur and walk north--try to time that to a lower tide so you can look in the rocks (those rocks come and go depending how much sand covers them), in Juno which is just north of MacArthur I'd park at Loggerhead Park and walk north to the pier; you can sometimes find sharks teeth by that pier. In Juno I'd park at Coral Cove and walk north to Blowing Rocks...there are rocks towards blowing rocks too. I hope you find LOTS of shells!
fabulous!!! i'm so excited! thanks for the parking info, very much appreciated! i can't wait to spend time with the 5th day of creation!!!!!!!
@@maggiestack3757 Safe travels and happy shelling ❤️🐚
I love this beach! It’s worth the drive from the west coast of Florida. What time of year was this. May was extremely hot. Connor is a Super Sheller! I would be happy with one lion’s paw. Are south winds preferable?
Oh I know! So happy it's a preserved area! I look for winds that blow on shore (west-ish) usually if we have crazy waves 3-5'+ a couple days later after that when wave heights are 0-3 there is usually good shells that get pushed up BUT it's not an exact science; some weeks you just don't get any breaks and it's choppy and rough for weeks! I just really look out for those calm days with wave heights of 0-3 and plan to go the day after that "calm day" so the shells have a chance to get pushed up and then sometimes it doesn't happen b/c it starts rough again, oi! I really need to start recording the days around "good" shelling days so I can see more of a pattern that what I've just been observing over the years. Anyways, this was a late fall trip. Shelling is better from what I've observed on the east coast from Oct-Feb -ish. Thx for watching!
@@FloridaBeachWalks Thank you for all of the information. I really appreciate it. I went to Juno Beach in November a couple of years ago and even though the waves were high, great shells were rolling in. I was in scotch bonnet heaven! Love your videos!
Have you ever found red sea glass?
Yes, at Patrick Beach in Melbourne, FL. I have a couple pieces.
How do you find beaches where you don’t get trampled by tourists 😊 25:40
Walking far! For the most part a lot of people are near the entrance of a place; so I walk far. Also, central to the start of south FL's east coast side is never really "packed". And I tend to go on "off" days like Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdays.
