I like the ExpressCage MB326SP-B and FatCage MB155SP-B, 1 of My 5.25" bays is currently houseing my raspberry pi and 5tb usb drive. This seems like a much better use for this space.
I've been wanting to build one of these with the Icy Dock 5.25 thing. But they're so freaking expensive, tripleing the price of a case for only 4-5 drives. I really want that 5.25 dock thing but I don't think I'd ever pay $180+ for it.
Weird how Gleem already has 1,183 entries yet TH-cam has only 883 views. Even if that’s due to TH-cam updating view count slowly does it suggest that Gleem might be getting stuffed submissions? Oh - I get it now. Each submitter can put in up to 5 entries. Makes total sense. Good luck all!
I used an old pc I had laying around and turned it into a home media server after stumbling across this channel, honestly had so much fun and it really is a great learning experience especially when you’ve wanted to do it but needed that little push, can’t wait to expand it and start working on other projects too, the entire homelab topic seems very interesting and I’m thankful for finding your channel along with a few others. I’ve also wondered why your sub count is low compared to the content you put out, at the start I thought this was an at least 200k subs channel but damn, really hope you get the push by the algorithm for all the work you put in
@RaidOwl - That 5 pack disk holder should have been turned 90 degrees... You can see in the video that the "sides" which you put on the top and bottom had "cut outs" for the slots you had to bend...
Ur cloudflared video helped me reach my jellyfin server without needing to open ports, i was hoping I could win cause my home server pc has run out of harddrive bays but I don't live in the US 😂 but either way congrats man will be there at a million subs

Was wondering if you had any ideas for how I can access my server outside my network - I have t-mobile 5g home internet which uses CGNAT to assign IPs, which makes it difficult to remote in because the IP will never be static. Do you have any elegant solutions or ideas I can look into to circumvent this? Thanks!

im trying to make a cloud gaming server for my friends with potato pc's, a build like this would work perfectly because it has plenty of power and storage. Would you mind telling me where you got the mobo and cpu from?

At 16:09 you talk about using the molex cables, can you give some more details on that? I don't know if you have to have the molex cables as well as the other cables or did you have to change out the sas cables that connected to the LSI connectors? I am getting ready to put in a sas connector and I am sure I will be running into the same problem. Whatever you can do would be greatly appreciated.

Nah the sas connectors are just for data. Then instead of connecting sata power I just used the molex to sata adapter
