35 year resident of the Appalachian Mountains. Relatives in every Southern state in the US. Great job with the accent. I wouldn't question it for a second if I heard it in public.

Cow Farts same here!! I have a friend in Missouri who thinks this accent and that of Andrew Lincoln on The Walking Dead is so fake. I told him he was crazy! If I didn’t know better I’d swear it was two different people. And as for Lincoln. When I found out that dude was British I about fainted. I’d have sworn he lived here in North Carolina his whole life!!

I've listened to a number of your narrations and I must say, as I haven't mentioned before; your talent with accents is quite impressive. Your ability to hop between your natural speech pattern and that of whichever character you portray at the moment is to be commended. You deserve far more recognition than you already have.

Love, love, love your narrations! Listening to you...with your voice, intonations, and expressive nature always reminds me of what it must have felt like (in the pre industrial ages) to sit around a hearth and listen to the story tellers whether they were a family member, the local lore holder, or a visiting stranger with tales to share. Brilliant telling as always.
Also... your Texas accent is really getting increasingly more natural sounding. I think I heard a bit of Sam Elliott in there. 👏👏👏👏

Post Narration: Jack started for the main road. As he reached it he heard a howl unlike what he ever heard. It wasn't that of a wolf of a coyote or any other animal that knew of. Jack however had to look back and saw a dark figure that must have been as big as that new "skyscraper" in the postcard his cousin Thomas in New York City sent him a few months back. What were people calling it? "The Flatiron Building" or something. The figure was in no doubt "The Wind Walker". Before Jack could react, the Wind Walker picked him up like a toy. The thing smiled reveling rows of sharp animal like teeth. Jack realized that this "spirit" had killed his parents and destroyed his childhood home. Jack was more filled with rage than fear at this realization. Jack in his anger drew his Colt. 45 revolver and shot the creature in the left eye. The Wind Walker let out a howl of pain and dropped Jack to the ground. Jack managed to squeeze off two more rounds hitting the Wind Walker in the back of its right leg before it disappeared from sight. Jack managed to untie his horse despite his trembling hands and rode back to the small Colorado town. The cold didn't bother him this time, he was drenched in hot sweat. He only stopped to breath when he reached the Sherriff's office on Main Street. When he barged in the Sherriff who was putting up new WANTED posters in the office turned. "Jack what's wrong?" he asked still holding a WANTED poster in his hand. "There's been some kind of an accident at my folk's homestead. The cabin's gone and my Maw and Paw are nowhere to be found." Jack stammered. He hadn't had much schooling past the fourth grade but he was smart enough to know the sheriff wouldn't believe him about the Wind Walker. The next morning after the storm had past, the sheriff and a few deputies rode out with Jack to the old homestead. Sure enough the cabin was gone. Despite searching the woods, the law men couldn't find any trace of Jack's Parents. They did though notice that a lot of the trees had been damaged by what looked like something big. In the end they just figured the trees had been damaged by snow storm. But Jack knew better. As soon as his parents estate was settled by the only lawyer in town, Jack left. He went to join his cousin Thomas in a new business venture of his that he was setting up at Coney Island. Something called a "Penny Arcade".

The hills ARE alive! Really liked this strange fable. Ironic how the parents who sought safety and retreat in nature are (punished for their hubris?) by that same nature. As in Poe's House of Usher, the narrator is rendered hopeless before the malevolent sentience of the land and atmosphere. Super treatment in all departments.
