Ricoh Group acquired 80% of Fujitsu’s shares in PFU. With the acquisition, PFU joins Ricoh Group as a Ricoh company from September 1st, 2022. From a customer standpoint, the entire scanner team has moved over. Our support will continue to be offered through the same channels without any structural changes. PaperStream Capture and PaperStream Clickscan both offer the ability to produce searchable PDF files using OCR. In addition, PaperStream Capture offers zonal OCR that can be setup for fixed document templates. OCR results can be used for index values and file names. Separately, both software applications and our PaperStream TWAIN and ISIS drivers offer color image processing including automatic size detection, deskew, image orientation, color detection, and blank page removal.
