Why do the more developed countries have higher Alzheimers? I don't want to sound like a conspiracy kook but does it have something to do with what we are exposed to? Something like plastics?
People in poorer countries actually often have more contact with toxins, so that's unlikely. The most likely answer is because people in richer countries often have longer lifespans, so more people reach the age where diseases like Alzheimer's become frequent.
+Trevor Thompson You're less likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimers in poorer countries so it might have a lot to do with under-reporting rather than actual differences in numbers.
