Thank you for this video, I would love to put my over 30 years of experience in these religious misunderstandings, into the ability to prevent them and talk to some members of this church. Eves actions also in Hebrew were not why god condemned people, but because Adam was not responsible, and when asked why he ate the apple, replied to god that “the women you gave me provided the Apple”. Adam lacked the most critical attribute of a man, the ability to be responsible enough to admit his wrongs, to grow from mistakes and be truthful. This is from the origin text, before mistranslations came to be that were convenient for countries and political parties to use as a control mechanism. In addition Eve choosing the fruit chose understanding of the world, a better opportunity to know her creator and more over infinite leisure which is nice but not a true existence. Eve chose existence for us and so when God gave her to Adam he gave him a compass and companion to endure true reality. This church should be spoken to properly, I am not religious, in the Torah it is not necessary for gods love. Only how you treat others matters, and who you are! Work in these things to go to heaven and if there is no heaven, do these things still because it feels right to be good.

Hello, I just found your channel, and it's interesting that you talk about this; have you ever made a video about the cult that brainwashed Toshl (X JAPAN Vocalist)?
What a wild situation. If someone told me yesterday that Japan has a serious religious organization that deeply questions their national pride and identity and actively works on subverting them, and not only that, it's also supported by many politicians, including late Shinzo Abe I'd tell them to piss off. In my corner of the world we simply just give the church upwards of 150 million Euros (compared to Japan we are a pretty poor country) per year and in turn let them infiltrate and influence our politics, education, police and army. Go figure, it's almost like this is a universal cultural phenomenon. That being that various swines and opportunists will abuse any kind of personal belief, problem or vulnerability that people have to turn a profit or to consolidate power.
Why anime and the "adult entertainment" is horrific on every level and in normalization tactic and outside of drawn media? It all needs abolishing and/or being brought down.
Meanwhile, Japanese women will still continue to marry Korean men. :P Jokes aside, organizations like the Unification Church are a cancer to Korea as well. No one supports them.
Thank you Meshida-san for sharing all these useful information with us. Personally I wasn't even aware of the existence of this religion, let alone its relation to politics. I went to some Korean churches in China in the 2010s, I wondered why they were so secretive and didn’t allow Chinese people. And they were very controlling, they’d start acting rude if a member missed church service a few times. I heard they’re now no more coz the Chinese government cracked them down.
Don't label it as a Korean conspiracy because they don't represent Korea. The Korean public don't support the Unification Church or any other "Saibi" (or Pseudo) churches.
@@joseph3036 Glad they did that to be honest, so that nobody would have to suffer anymore from them, let alone being in China and discriminating the Chinese from even going just sounds like the stupidest way to dig your own grave regardless…
@@elosoderusia4598 They were not really discriminating against Chinese though. They were just trying to stay under the radar of the Chinese government for as long as possible, coz every local was a potential spy.

Same goes for Sewol Ferry(ferry that sank taking mayy lives) owner who is also a founder of pseudo congregation. I am surprised to find many fabricated organized religions are from where I grew up in. Also surprised to find they are quite influential.
While the assasination of Abe is a sad tragedy, it says a lot that this was necessary to shed light on such a huge problem. The political influence of the UC is incredibly scary and shameful for the JP government.
Meshida San, Thank you for your explanation, at least I can understand what links to Shinzo Abe and unification church. But you need to be careful as well. From Malaysia.
It's weird that people would actually believe their country is a devil and the country to their side is literally god or whatever. It's strange why they wouldn't question something that is clearly made that way to ruin them. It's like telling a kid that you'll show him a cool game if he gives you his phone for a day without telling anyone. But this one works with adults. lol
And here I thought this dance of interests, greed, power and manipulation of people's naivety and faith only happened in my own country... how naive I was, in the end.
Well I heard about all this kind of sect frauds in Japan. But didn't know the name nor their origin. I see the sect has now the power to even influence Japanese Politics if I understood you there Meshida. Thats really concerning if true.
This was very well done. I love watching you grow! I'm glad you took this risk but be careful! Cults don't like people exposing them and this one sounds particularly evil.
These people are arguably more nefarious than aum shinrikyo And that part about the leader impersonating the emperor in a skit is not cool. Most luxurious hole was a great line 🤣
Honestily the tunnel would be more legit if they werent using it in the way they are. There are potentiol other similar projects proposed in other countries with a similar ammount of undersea length, but they are clearly not really invested in it. There is potentiol to actually build amazing innovations like that but sadly scammers make the public distrust the real innovators
this is surprising Meshida-san, I watch other Japanese youtubers about religion history in Japan, and realized that both Shintoism and Buddhism have caused a lot of damage to Japanese society during Sengoku era and world war era, and now surprisingly there are many Japanese who are still believe strongly to Christianity after all that, and even worse top rank politicians also take part in it....this shows that Koreans are not weak, if you (Japanese) are not turning into fans of their idols, then they'll turn you into a unification believers
The reason why Japan was able to penetration Korea from the 1890s to 1910 was because it was still suffering from the damage of the Japanese invasions in 1592. The prince regent of Korea, the Taewaggun, used all the money from the treasury that could have modernized Korea in 1885, was used instead to rebuild the Joseon grand palace in Seoul, the same grand palace that was burned down during the Japanese invasion of 1592.
I've long thought the Shogun who booted out the Christians had the right idea. If they had achieved a strong foothold, Spain, England, and France would have used that pretext to invade.
I mean… I guess it depends on context. At the time the line between Christian/Catholic is blurred. A lot of people lump the two together but there are a lot of key differences. The big one is Catholicism tends to rely a lot on idols such as the image of Jesus Christ. “Pray to this image and you are saved” Where as with Christianity it’s not about the image of Jesus but why he died and what it means for your heart. A Christain’s heart should be one that genuinely wishes to serve the people around them, yeah, it’s an ideal because we as people don’t like to willingly serve but that’s what the Christian belief actually should be. The Catholic side of things it’s more like, if you serve and do this much then you get this much as a reward in heaven. But… that’s just not what Christ asks of us. It’s not about what we can get but rather what we can give. Anyway, to expound on that. Here’s where the Catholic idol of the image of Christ comes into play. Because the Shogunate had those plates that they would have Japanese Christains step on to renounce their faith. The thing is, that plate has the image of Christ… but it’s not Christ. Living as a Christian doesn’t mean going through the rituals or anything it’s where you invest your love. However, I think the missionaries of the day kinda screwed up getting that across due to language barrier issues. Anyway, I do agree with you. Spain, England, and France would have used Christianity as an excuse for conquest as they always have. It’s unfortunate that Christian beliefs have been used for horrible atrocities but such is history. However, the other side of the issue here isn’t so clean either. The Shogunate would hold out very brutal executions on anyone who would call themselves Christian. They knew they couldn’t out right kill these people so they torchered them until they renounced their faith weather it was blending them out, removing fingers, or crucifying them. Political power corrupts. Doesn’t matter who it is. Because low and behold. Once Japan wrapped up their internal battles they decided to go on their own conquest. But this time in the name of their religion and god the emperor (really the shogun but the emperor is who the people looked to) Hence why the founding fathers in the United States pushed for separating of Church and State. That’s my thoughts on that.
I remember reading a book years ago called In A Sunburnt Country written by Bill Bryson. In one chapter, he tells of his time in the Australian bush country. He talked about an area that was owned by a doomsday cult. It was alleged that the area was a testing ground for a weapon of mass destruction. Some thought it was nuclear weapon. But there was evidence of any radiation in the area. It was also alleged that the Sarin gas attack in Tokyo was the same people who had detonated the weapon in Australia. Shinzo Abe will be missed.
Unification church seems to be similar to Iglesia ni kristo (church of christ) of philippines in forcing donations. Some people might disagree with me but my parents knew some people lost their livelihood because of big donations.
As a Christian myself that studies the Bible and the book of Genesis. Knowing that there is a “church” that teaches Japan and Korea is an “Adam and eve nation” make me wanna look through my Bible like “did I miss a page”. lol thanks meshida-San you’ve gave me new knowledge about a “church” I’ve never heard about.
Same bro! Not to mention we “fell in adam” not “eve” anyways. That’s why our Lord is called the “second adam.” The claims of cults like this are so outrageous that you assume no one would buy it, unfortunately in biblically illiterate cultures this is very common to go unchallenged.
I'm sorry if my question sounds rude, but isn't what you just described exactly how faith works? Probably in Korea or Japan there will be someone questioning your Bible and wondering how anyone can read anything other than *their* Bible.
@@-shikajin-4078 your question and convlusion may follow if truth is relative, but it is not. Justin is pointing out the internal consistency of this churches worldview in inconsistent. We know this by internal critique and from the knowledge we have derived from scripture which is that all things true are consistent. If author a writes a book and interpreter b comes and declares “in this book the koreans are the best!” When the book makes no mention of korea being the best, this is inconsistent and misses the whole purpose of the scriptures which are consistent within themselves as the word of God. Everyone has a standard for truth, and it may not be fun, but you must self examine your standards for truth. Are they subjective? Do they hold under scrutiny? Did you fall into the logical fallacy recently of believing whatever governmental health departments declared as truth because you assumed them as your standard? Christ is the way the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
@@-shikajin-4078 sure everyone has an interpretation and some people use different Bibles. But this is cult is so wacky it makes no sense to any translation. It’s just butchery of the text and reading into things that aren’t there. But maybe I’m biased who knows? I’ve never seen their “Bible” before so I don’t know what’s in it.

Great video! You explain the situation very well about the subject and I understand the topic better now. You gave a better explaination thn the media. ありがとうございます。
I think this could be much more troublesome than Aum Shinrikyo. Because the government of the time was hostile to Aum Shinrikyo and wanted to eliminate it, but the Unification Church is in complete collude with the current government, and politicians are reluctant to eliminate the Unification Church.
Thank you for this informative video, Meshidasan. I'm sure it took a lot of courage to report on this issue. This "religious corporation" sounds very cynical and unchristian to me... The "moral flexibility" of some conservative politicians is unfortunately not very surprising. Is it possible for the state to take away the Unification Church's status as a religious corporation? Because the way members are segregated in Japanese and non-Japanese and extorted sounds more like a vicious sect or a mafia.
Its kind of scary how the church controls the minds of their members. They are justifying now that they donations got lower and some voluntary. If the assassination didnt happen maybe this wouldnt bring light to the world. It's a high controlled group. They ruin the member's minds coz I have a special friend who is in that cult and I somehow experienced it myself.

Why anime and the "adult entertainment" is horrific on every level and in normalization tactic and outside of drawn media? It all needs abolishing and/or being brought down.
You are amazing to do comedy in 2nd language, that takes a lot of courage, skill and talent.
thanks and keep it up ❤
From Aum Shinrikyo to the Unification Church. It's just sad that there's a lot of cultists in Japan.
Fascinating as always, Meshida- Sensei. Thanks for your perspective on this cult.
There is one way to reverse the master-slave relation regarding Japan and South Korea: labeling South Korea as A DAMNATION
Meanwhile, Japanese women will still continue to marry Korean men. :P
Jokes aside, organizations like the Unification Church are a cancer to Korea as well.
No one supports them.
🤣🤣
Thank you Meshida-san for sharing all these useful information with us. Personally I wasn't even aware of the existence of this religion, let alone its relation to politics. I feel like your channel is a great source to gain profound knowledge about the Japanese society while enjoying a good laugh at the same time. Not many people find way to archive that.
Keep up the amazing work, Meshida-san!
And by the way, nice shirt. 😂 Care to merchandise it?
Conserving money and power is something that practically all politicians do
i remember one of my students telling me about this a few months back. Im curious about the story of the happy science organization as well.
I like that you don't avoid serious complicated topics like this.
You make a grim topic humorous! Very funny jokes!
Thank you meshida san , for discussing this deep issue , we support you 👍👍👍
Matthew 24:5 “For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many”
many videos about Unification Church and yours seems to be the most comprehensible among them all.
Thank you for discussing this topic, which is not really talked about in international media in detail. I have recently subscribed to your channel and all your videos are very insightful. Thank you for making these videos and brining them to us. Your stand-up comedy is also very funny. Thank you for sharing videos of those as well.
Perfect ending. Reminds me of the boiling frog analogy, how these cults indoctrinate their slaves gradually into accepting their gradually worsening living hells as the norm.
The Unification Church sure sounds like the mega churches of nowadays.
So am not surprised Meshida-San.
you are doing very good presentation, Meshida San !
very informative and u are still funny too😆
I'm impressed at how objective he is. I would've suspected it's some Korean conspiracy going on.
I grew up in Korea but I found out about reunification church in my late 20s and also the fact that founding members are Koreans. Same goes for Sewol Ferry(ferry that sank taking mayy lives) owner who is also a founder of pseudo congregation. I am surprised to find many fabricated organized religions are from where I grew up in. Also surprised to find they are quite influential.
I'd really like to know where Meshida-sama gets his shirts they're always so funny! 🤣
えいごじょうず! love your stuff, good job! much love from an American in Gunma
While the assasination of Abe is a sad tragedy, it says a lot that this was necessary to shed light on such a huge problem. The political influence of the UC is incredibly scary and shameful for the JP government.
Meshida San,
Thank you for your explanation, at least I can understand what links to Shinzo Abe and unification church.
But you need to be careful as well. From Malaysia.
You are tackling a very sensitive topic. You might upset them and make retaliation against you. Your bravery is commendable. More power.
Extremely informative, especially to see the modern situation and how connected everything is.
13:30 Meshida says something confusing about First Kitchen.
How can I tell if I'm in a regular FK as opposed to FK Hell?
U r dead serious sharing this with your viewers 👍 👏 🍻 🙇♂️
“Dark side”? It’s ALL DARK
Can you make a video on “Happy Science” Religion too?
Very well explained! Thank you!
Well I heard about all this kind of sect frauds in Japan. But didn't know the name nor their origin. I see the sect has now the power to even influence Japanese Politics if I understood you there Meshida. Thats really concerning if true.
th-cam.com/video/vJmWVWCdTYo/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for speaking about this in English. In America we have a similar problem with private military organizations
I like your shirt Meshida-san, keep up the great content
This was very well done. I love watching you grow! I'm glad you took this risk but be careful! Cults don't like people exposing them and this one sounds particularly evil.
Love your channel. I lived in Japan during the Shows period. Learn't Japanese writing. Married a Japanese. Wish I had your channel back then
showa
These people are arguably more nefarious than aum shinrikyo
And that part about the leader impersonating the emperor in a skit is not cool.
Most luxurious hole was a great line 🤣
They should be sued out of existence.
Holy...! Their believers sold flowers?
Anyone remember what Aerith was doing at the start of Final Fantasy VII?
this is surprising Meshida-san, I watch other Japanese youtubers about religion history in Japan, and realized that both Shintoism and Buddhism have caused a lot of damage to Japanese society during Sengoku era and world war era, and now surprisingly there are many Japanese who are still believe strongly to Christianity after all that, and even worse top rank politicians also take part in it....this shows that Koreans are not weak, if you (Japanese) are not turning into fans of their idols, then they'll turn you into a unification believers
Unification Church is a heretical cult. It certainly isn't orthodox Christianity.
I've long thought the Shogun who booted out the Christians had the right idea. If they had achieved a strong foothold, Spain, England, and France would have used that pretext to invade.
Those who believe in Christianity are Dum Primates.
Japan belongs to the Kami, not this Abrahamic Demiurge.
Make sure they never set root.
Need to find more bars of Pai-Pai signal near me. 🤣
That’s why our Lord is called the “second adam.”
The claims of cults like this are so outrageous that you assume no one would buy it, unfortunately in biblically illiterate cultures this is very common to go unchallenged.
Absolutely true, if anything Palestine and Syria should be Adam and Eve nations given christianity originated in that part of the world. Haha.
I love how in the midst of a serious topic, this guy can sneak in a mischief out of nowhere. Like, I almost died at 3:34 🤣🤣🤣
Aum Shinrikyo, Happy Science, and this! Quite the cults you have there.
The Koreans are very good at creating addictive products. Food, entertainment, songs and... religion too.
So are the Japanese
@@zennoix9984 yes, but in different things, not the same things.
Seem like japan have to rebanned christanity again

So it’s basically the Japanese version of the Church of Scientology it seems
Its originally Korean and there are many Moonies (that is what they are called) in the USA and Europe as well.
More like the Korean version of Mormons.
I think Japanese catholic church fits better.
@@mudra5114 apparently they're also involved with arms dealers in Latin America.
Hope this video will enlighten many japanese citizen and not to follow what these hyprocrites, self-proclaimed beings of what they said... I don't have enough information about politics or economy but maybe this could be one of those factor (small chance) to Japan's economic slowdown.
You are more fit to be a Sensei! Your way of speaking is very nice.
As a Malaysian with devout Catholic, there is not way the religion to do that. This is power hunger peoples 🤬
Don't let your culture and civilization destroy.
Thank you very much for bringing this topic to light🙏🏻
I hope that such pseudo-religions will outlive itselfs🙏🏻
The Moonies?... I honestly didn't know they were still around.
Me: reading manga on aggregate website
Also me: why the heck there's a unification church ad here?
Dang, your content just got Real 👏 Good job
Great video! You explain the situation very well about the subject and I understand the topic better now. You gave a better explaination thn the media. ありがとうございます。
This is like the Aum Shinrikyo all over again.
I think this could be much more troublesome than Aum Shinrikyo. Because the government of the time was hostile to Aum Shinrikyo and wanted to eliminate it, but the Unification Church is in complete collude with the current government, and politicians are reluctant to eliminate the Unification Church.
As long as the head of a church thinks he's a reincarnation of a god it's bound to go loonie down the road.
This is how comedy should be.
Ngl, that "50000 yen = 1mm" idea is pure genius from a manipulation point of view.
Lol, I thought the lady in the thumbnail was Mako Komuro wearing that mask. I was like, "First moving to New York, then joining a cult?"
Here is a like and comment to help your channel grow and get you the recognition you deserve.
