I was 5 year old in 1975 when my parents took me to tgis movie. Roopalee theatre ahmedabad. This entire scene remains etched in my memory. As a child of 5 I got attached with the character of jay which amitabh played. I was sad when amitabh dies. I became an instant fan to amitabh and from 1975.to 1982. ...Namak halaal movie i watched every movie of amitabh atleast 5 times . Bachchan impact on children was extraordinary. Other heroes attracted men and women, amitabh additionally pulled children to the theatres and tgat is why he became a superstar.

I was 7 years old when this movie came in 1975 and I still remember seeing it at the theatre in Connaught Place in Delhi called Plaza Cinema along with my parents. We missed seeing the opening scene as we reached little late to the Theatre travelling by DTC bus from Sarojini Nagar. Wow those were the days and memories.

Next year my dad mom had to take me to his another movie hera pheri to convince me that amitabh is alive. Dharmendra vinod khanna captured the imagination of adult men and women in India , but AB had tremendous impact on even teenage and children of 1970s and that made him a superstar. Children forced their parents to take them for bachchan movies and that made box office ticket collection multiply. Even in multistarrers lije amar akbar anthony , teeagers and children were smitten by tge character Anthony Gonsalves. There was no alternative to Amitabh bachchan between 1975to 1982.runnerups were dharmendra and vinod khanna.
