Sony released one of the best camera lineups in history: the A7SIII, FX9, FX6, FX3, and FX30. I don't know what pressured Sony to release the Burano so early. They should have released it at NAB. Canon, RED, and BlackMagic didn't have a bombshell release last year, so the Burano had no make-or-break situation.
In the mid range rental market this thing is collecting dust in my city. Also that rolling shutter is unusable compared to every other camera on the market in that range.
Grossly overpriced. I’d rather buy Pyxis and spend $22000 on gimbals, sliders, Dana dolly, lenses, Dji follow focus , lights and create a whole production studio.
No camera is worth that muck money in 2024. I’d even say ARRI isn’t worth it anymore. The dam has broken. Cheap tech is so good now there’s zero point in wasting money. Heck even the cheap lenses are getting good. Save your money and buy stock or put it on the mortgage!
Exactly. Unless you need the absolute cutting edge? But for the rest of us, tech are so good these days it would be wiser to spend on other things to have a solid set of goodies for a production studio.

Just get a venice og used, burano is more in line with the fx9 image quality wise and doesn’t quite nail the venice color science.

I feel the burono ii to be released next 2 years to “fix” the issues addressed by everyone
Still has more latitude than the the inferior Red Raptor as confirmed by Cine D.
