Hi Missy, so glad to see you today. Every day I wonder how you’re doing and continue to pray. You look fantastic. I love all your clothes that you got. You’re gonna run out of space for clothes. But at least you’ll look cute as a button in the meantime. Thank you so much for sharing with us and yes I believe that God has used all of this for his glory and for your good. That’s why we are allowed to go through adversity. Nothing can happen to us without his permission and if he’s decided that this what needs to happen then it’s most surely for his glory and you’re good. Love in Christ

So glad you are having a better day. My mother in law found out a few weeks ago that she has breast cancer for the second time on the same breast. She had a lumpectomy a couple of years ago and will be getting another one as soon as her surgery is scheduled. She is 89 years old. Please say a prayer for her. She is really disheartened about the whole situation. You are helping so many people with your videos. You will never know the impact you are having on so many people. Continued prayers for you and your family.

I was so happy to see this post and know that you were doing better than in the previous one. Terrific Saver’s finds! The Athleta sweater is jaw dropping. When I was recovering from my mastectomy I couldn’t stop ordering clothing from QVC. Amazon shopping wasn’t a popular thing yet. The only thing is I wore those items all during chemo and afterwards connected them in my mind and so the clothes had to go. I was diagnosed at 48 y/o, many years ago, praise God. I didn’t have reconstruction so unsure if that makes a difference, but my underarm area, armpit and part of my left side will always be slightly numb. Who cares? I just needed to be alive for my very young daughters (now in their 20’s). God is going to be glorified through your testimony. You’re now on a unique mission field where you can reach a huge number of women that would have been impossible otherwise.

Times like these it really makes you look at what we take for granted. I had major abdominal surgery and I took for granted just being able to breathe or pick up my laundry or open a drawer lol! It was hard for me to keep asking my family for help with the little things but they were always there without complaints. So wonderful you have a great support system as well!!

My sister was 42 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She too caught early, had surgery, and is doing fantastic
Loves San Diego! Went with my son as a chaperone for FCCLA nationals competition two years ago! We stayed next to the baseball stadium so we had a great view of the water. Ate lots of yummy food, visited fun shops, drove up to Mission Beach , and of course the zoo! The weather was fantastic the end of June to the Fourth of July!
I am so glad that she is doing well. I hope to have the same story.

So happy to see this update. Glad you had a good day. Though certainly not of the same magnitude, i can relate to a lot if things you said today. I broke both of my wrists in early January, required plates and screws bilaterally and was handless for awhile. Handless, helpless and useless were all thoughts i have had. I recently was able to drive after needing to rely upon others for 8 weeks. Not being able to shower by myself for more than 4 weeks. Humbling is an understatement. Can relate to taking too long to get ready, and hating to be late. Thank you so much.

I can only imagine! I had my hysterectomy last Monday and had a moment where I realized that nothing was ever going to be the same again. I have my second surgery scheduled for May 15th. It's an awful lot on our minds, but we are stronger than the devil! Continued thoughts and prayers sent your way. ♥️

When your sister was filling the washing machine and you were searching for a word..it was dependent. You are used to everyone depending on you. This is a very foreign feeling for you. But like you said this sure humbles us. I was happy to hear you were listening to your body and was going to sit down. Wow that braided belt was gorgeous!!! When you were talking about your family history of cancer, I was wondering , at what age will your daughter start getting tested?
The doctors say that she will be considered high risk when she is 25 and they will start monitoring her every 6 months at that age.

I was curious, would you mind sharing what made you feel you needed to have an ultrasound? Were you having a problem of some sort?
Sure! It's in my previous videos, mostly the one where I announce that I have breast cancer...but I am the 6th person on my mom's side to get breast cancer. I have been having mammograms since I was 35 and when they found something in the other breast a couple of years ago (that ended up being nothing), they decided to put me on an alternating cycle of scans every 6 mo.
Just watching now. I had to push pause and comment.....yes, every time we pull into the oncology center and it's packed it is heartbreaking 💔

I didn’t have a mastectomy but a reduction. They took my breasts apart and removed 6pounds of tissue. The nerves and sensation will come back. Mine are more sensitive. Just hang in there. Give it time. It may seem a little strange at first. Just take each at a time.

When are you coming to Cali? I can help you with the weather and what to wear. I'm about an hour from San Francisco. It will be even a bit warmer in San Diego actually probably. I'm from Indiana so it took me a few years to adjust, but I think the weather here is beautiful.
We will be there the last week of June.
@MelissaHuenergardt you should be good then. Last year we had a very mild summer. But normally in June it is in the 80's or 90's.

I "happened" upon your channel a few months ago and have found your journey to be very encouraging and uplifting even though I do not have breast cancer. I was glad to see your video pop up. I have been wondering how you are doing. I had to laugh a bit when you spoke about being late because I despise being late as well. Like you I prefer to be early and spend time in the parking lot. Melissa, I can totally understand how you feel. It’s so very hard to let people take care of us when we are usually the caregivers. I was on complete bed rest from week 15 through week 35 at the early birth of my daughter. I felt good but had to stay reclined except for church once a week, and not permitted to lift more than 5 lbs., it was so difficult for me to watch my 65 year old mom do things for me that I would normally do, like laundry. My doctor stressed to me that I was my baby’s best incubator, so maybe think of this as you are incubating those boobies and they need to develop in place, only you are nurturing twins! 😊
