Random I know.. but you know what would be amazing? Being able to upgrade a bed... so we can choose a cheaper one, or one purely based on aesthetics, and then the handy sim can upgrade it with a mattress topper, and less creeky springs, and high thread count sheets or something, and then they get better sleep and comfort out of it. Also, I think there should be an option to pay for an upgrade, like hire someone to upgrade things. That would be sweet.

This is such an awesome build and I totally get, what you're saying about building mansions. I once build one and the decoration part made it so hard for me. I ended up with a room full of mirrors, but man, the Charisma skill in this family was high.

It’s becoming a bit of a trend in picturesque parts of the UK to (if you can afford it, for example people moving out of London to what are for them relatively cheaper areas) refit cottages so that the the bedrooms are downstairs and the living space is upstairs (that way you get to enjoy the lovely views in the spaces you spend the most awake time in)

Actually even with high mischief, Kleptos can't steal stuff like appliances.
I would really love the next stuff pack to just be an "Accesories" pack. Lots of decorative and unique items that otherwise wouldnt be included in other packs.... sliding doors, some unique windows (4 grid tiles wide?), buildable showers (shower head, drain, glass to build an enclosure), pillows for couches and beds, throw blankets, cabinet mounted microwaves, garage doors, bikes, cars, trash compacters, and other random stuff like that.

veljko Because using and downloading CC can be irritating and I wouldnt mind paying for one pack full of stuff. Ive quit playing Sims 4 and went back to Sims 3 because im tired of the crap pieces and not being able to decorate. Im one of those people who really only build and furnish houses, i dont use the gameplay. So not having furniture that matches and stuff like that is irritating. I think it would be good for Sims to recognize that a lot of their players do more builds than gameplay
It would be nice if the sims actually charged properly for what their packs included, because then I'd actually be on board with buying some things for the game

I really like it, and I'm glad you've been so inspired lately! My one criticism would be that the half wall behind the kitchen sink/counters is too low, if you were chopping up or washing dishes etc it would be really easy for stuff to go over and down to the first floor - the next height up would be better so there is at least a token backsplash since it is against an open area to the lower floor. I loved all the use of color and greenery though!

I got an idea for the next series when you finish Wags to Riches. Since you've never done the scientist career and that secret lab build someone did was so awesome, why not get a Sim in the scientist career in that build and make him a supervillain?

I think the upstairs and downstairs work really well, cause you have the yellow and the blue and that greyish blueish flooring ties them together. Nice house 👌

Isn't it a bit dangerous if the kitchen counters are so close to the stairs? "oops the knife just slipped out of my hands" and then it falls down and a sim dies

Sadly, sims can't die because of knives, so that's not a problem for them. And in real life, that house is way to complicated to survive gravity anyway, so that's it

Hey james I have a new house idea!
In a book I was reading the parents were divorced but had 1 child. They still lived in the same house it was just split in half. (Sorta like the opposite twin room.)
So you would build a house one half would be modern, this side needs to keep modern through out (this is the mom’s side.)
The other half would be traditional and more homie (this is the dad’s side) the house must be traditional throughout.
* Both sides of the house must have a boys room (this does not need to follow the rest of theme but can)
*both must have a bathroom, kitchen, etc.
* the mailbox is the mom’s, the bin on the outside is the dads, scenery doesn’t matter on the outside
(Edit) You can call this the divorced parents challenge

I love these videos because they give me a different outlook and good inspiration for my own builds (that and James is just wonderfully entertaining) BUT he breaks SO many architectural rules. I can hear my old teacher screaming every time he breaks a new one 😂

Not sure if you've done this before, but think it would be fun to make a series where each house is inspired by a different profession (the artist's house, the gardener's house, the gamer house, the scientist's house, etc).

I was having a really crappy day at work and I saw your video and I at least got to enjoy my lunch period. I love the way the house turned out, it's fun sometimes putting the kitchen upstairs to make the space work better. And my favorite part is the seating area in front of the big windows.

i think it would be fun to do a collab with somebody, both use the exact same base blank house (same exterior walls, same lot size, but a completely blank canvas), and see how different the interior layout/decorating, the outside decorating/landscape, windows, styles, doors is at the very end.

Hey James, you should do a build where you have to use the items that you hate the most in the game for each category (i.e. least favorite bed, least favorite toilet, least favorite flooring, etc.) but then once you've placed each of those, you can put down anything else you like to try and make it work together

Your homes always have this amazing flow, and I'm loving how you are using more wood, stone and greenery in your builds. That W/C room with the windows in my mind would have been better as a laundry room- and although I don't own the pack it would be nice to see you add laundry to your builds. I know you don't want to play with it, but it still is nice to see how it would impact the creative process you take when designing.
