People are being denied bail for relatively trivial offences (at a time when there is supposed to be no jail space). The denial of bail is a thus a deliberate act to intimidate people into accepting a 'guilty' plea for something that a jury would most likely throw out.
It is a tragedy that British police and worse British justice systems were (willingly) abused and will forever be tarnished and will never recover now.
But the majority did not vote this dangerous group in Richard. They got in because the FPTP system favours two parties, labour or tory. Labour got around 38% of the actual votes placed but were handed around 68% of available seats! More people did not vote than actually voted labour. They also clearly conned those who did vote for them because they have reneged on so many of their promises within weeks of taking over.
I never had faith in the type of people who chose law as their carreer path when one told me many years ago that they would even defend and get off a murderer as in the eyes of the law that everybody deserves a defence. Connor you are so right, the responsibility for reactivism In this country should be placed squarely at the feet of politicians who have created the unhealthy atmosphere we now live in, and secondly with the disgraceful politicisation of the police and to some extent the judiciary who Intentionally and deliberately divide the population into victims and protected group. The law is the law under which we should all expect to be equal and justice should be blind without which you will of course create mayhem in any society. The behaviour of the police and prosecution service is highly questionable and in any fair society should be open to legal action and prosecution of crimes. Tommy Robinson et all are the outcome and not the cause of our problems, blame lies elsewhere.
