I used to spend many a happy day as a teenage rail enthusiast on Wolverhampton Low level and some trips to Snow Hill back in the early sixties. Some of the best days I ever had in my hobby.

Incredible footage! Thanks for putting this up. Being born in 1965 in Wolverhampton this was all gone by the time I could appreciate it. Thank god for people like you on youtube. This sort of video sharing would've been impossible a few years ago.

Some rare film around 5:30 of the SLS special of April 1963, the final run under BR of a King class loco, no.6018.

Almost dream like- some of the sequences. I was at these stations as a very small child- late 50s early 60s- en route to Aberystwyth although my godparents lived in Birmingham. There is footage of the north east- and the preserved Raven Q7(T3) 63460 just after 10.00 and various woebegone A3 pacifics.

Hi Diane, do you know anything about the rights to this footage? Is it your own? I would like to know. It is very nice and I would love to use some of it.
