Highly recommend watching the original stream! The entire interaction was around 45 minutes and there's even english timestamps in the comments. I only edited and cliped out the first ~25 minutes. After, he went on a tangent about how it's hard to pronounce European languages (very cute), asked the viewers what Japanese animes we liked, and talked about anime himself as well (he reads nico nico nii out loud).
I'm most likely not going to translate this later part though, so go check it out if you're curious :)

I love how every niji vtubers has a HUGE amount of international viewers but they prefer to stay quiet and just watch the stream. But when english is being mentioned, everybody's like "my time has come" ww. Ty for the translation! He was so cute here but sadly I fell asleep halfway through the convo :'(
Nijisanji has enough English fans, but not as huge as Hololive or Holostars, but it's slowly growing

The Japanese bros were extremely cool during this stream too. When Genz realized he started to heavily focus on English comments he briefly apologized and the Jp chat were just saying it's okay and that they're happy to see lots of kaigai nikki enjoying his streams and having fun 🥺 I love our little family so much. Always so positive and loving 💜

The way he gets excited while talking to the listeners in english is so wholesome 🥺 you can tell he enjoys talking about his fav stuff even if there's a language barrier~ genzuki really is adorable🥺
I personally don't mind the language barrier because we have wonderful translators every now and then doing God's work. Even when we don't get a translation, the overall message is still communicated and the stream is still enjoyable. Still, it makes me smile when they try to communicate with us overseas fans and I can't say I hate it!

I also recommend watching Hoshikawa Sara since she's part British and she sometimes speaks English on her streams

He's so cute oh my god... The way he seemed to get so excited when talking about Stranger Things as well. He's so passionate and I love it. I wonder if he gets to talk about it very often?? But he seemed so happy to be able to talk about it. I love it when he interacts with international fans. It shows his desire to cater to even the english comments. He's so appreciative of translators too. But even so, he's humble and modest- not giving himself much credit for his amazing fluency in english. It's not the best, but even considering the time he spent abroad, it's impressive for someone whose main language is anything but english, to be able to read so much of it and give such quick responses. In the end, these qualities make me love him only more.

The viewer in Genzuki's stream are really nice too. They will help to explain some topic by English which is easy to misunderstand by non native japanese user. It makes me feel we are big warm family and it helps me to learn japanese a lot. Some of the words never teaches in books.

Friendly reminder Genzuki doesn't really want to hear "I LOVE YOU" and "YOU'RE SO CUTE" so please respect his boundaries because it's literally the least you can do for him and something you should have been doing in the first place. If you really didn't notice that n o n e of his jp viewers don't do it for a reason than you should really be more aware of your surroundings. This is literally the least we could do for him. So please stop commenting stuff like that.
P.S. comment refers to everyone in general so I'm not saying "you" to a specific person this literally involves all overseas viewers
Personally “you’re so cutee” without the caps should be fine, since Japanese chat does call Genzuki a “美人” beautiful human quite often or just kawaii when he does high pitched voices. He definitely tries to have a more “friends who mess around with each other” relationship with the chat rather than a “idol and fan” relationship though. When the English comments started, the Japanese viewers actually started commenting in English too and he was like “Stop that! I remember my Japanese viewers! It’s rude to the people who go out of their way to use a translator!”
I do remember him asking the Japanese chat to calm down with their “love” for him a couple times and asked them to censor his name when tweeting “overwhelming” tweets, so this is definitely a point we should take note of!
Idk man, my japanese is at N3 going to N2, ive seen a lot jp comments saying stuffs like I love u/ i like u, cute and stuffs. So saying “NONE” is kinda wrong. But then again, if he doesnt like to hear those words, then we should respect that and do what he wishes, not because whether jp viewers do it or not.

7:20 who did the rigging for Genzuki's model?? The way he says "Ha! she's crying!" is super smooth!!!
I don’t think it was ever announced or found who did his rigging, we do know who his mama is though. His rigging IS good, even when he was 1.0 it was amazing seeing how much his model can make different expressions, so him in 2.0 with expanded movements made us all kind of lose our minds. Most of us notice the mouth tracking though, there’s lots of times where Gen just goes off and talks really fast or when he sings & the movement is really amazing.
@@alera27 From what I have seen out of all the nijisanji members, Genzuki's avatar is on a whole new level tbh. Then again I just started watching vtubers (nijisanji only) so I really don't know much... Do you know anyone else whose rigging is good? :0
@@goya951 i’m also fairly new, just this yr so idk much about more of the older gens. i think chigusa has really great movement. her expressions are really good! btw, all of serejo are getting their 2.0 tomorrow too, so it’s rather exciting

every time i go in any of the nijisanji streams, i'm conflicted to either write comments in english or crappy japanese (as i've learned the language but have forgotten a lot of it.) please help. i know some of the members can read/understand a bit of english but i don't know which language to comment in
japanese is the most recommended since they can read it easier, they’d appreciate it too if you comment even without knowing much japanese & used a translator. some can read basic english, but can’t speak it. i still think it can depend on which liver you’re watching anyways.
for gen though, he’s said it in the clip as well, but he’s fine with english comments. i feel like if it’s mostly basic english and abides by their chat rules, it’s fine to comment freely.
