Oh, what awe, what inspiration flows from this album. I can still vividly remember buying a pirated CD back in 1999 and they joy and amazement when I played it and then repeated. It's still so glorious piece of music. An album where I consider Blood tears to be the weakest song and it's still more powerful than entire discographies of certain bands. It's truly amazing.
From the technical point of view, it does sound like each element in the music is better highlighted. Though the nostalgia point of view still doesn't give me the same goosebumps as in the original version. =( EDIT: Actually I can say that's a problem I have mainly with the start of the song, it sounds so different.
Falta la campanada inicial o se oye poco.... Pero como suena !!!! Amor . Pero es imperdonable dejar tan bajo ese campanazo que abre el disco .... Por Aerendil !!!
Audio nerd here. Listened to this track a few times now with headphones. I hear different (and MORE) elements standing out. It almost sounds like a different recording at times. The vocals and leads aren't overpowering everything else. The rhythm section is more noticeable chugging away the low end. The mix sounds more open and thick. I might be convinced this is superior to the original release. We'll see once I hit the rest of the album.
@@joel20596 Some songs I much prefer the original mix. Curse of Feanor and Mirror Mirror, for example. This remastered Into the Storm for whatever reason really dazzled me though and I still prefer it. Overall I feel like there's more depth, space and breathing room on the remastered album, for me to notice and appreciate elements that I never heard before (like acoustic instruments or bass lines). In other spots though, the things I expect to be emphasized (vocal harmonies and leads mostly) end up being too diminished in the mix.
This is so superior. When the double bass comes in its unreal

Apresentando esse magnífico álbum para meu filho adolescente!
Very nice. Ty for the lyrics and the pictures.
Me when I beg my mom to buy that one toy at the toy store:
Give it to me, I must have it, precious treasure, I deserve it

Ungoliant 💘.
Anyone else here after NIME vanished from spotify?
It's disappeared from every platform.

Any audio nerds who know if the remaster is just more loudness and less dynamic range?
It is the opposite. Go listen to both versions of Blood Tears and A Dark Passage. It is most noticeable on those songs.

@@flixization overpowering leads and vocals made it a good mix in the first place, when everything is level and nothing stands out we lose dynamics
