I was never one for detailing BUT I found that it made me build a lot slower and the slower I did build, the better thought out and planned my cities were.
I felt the same way! I stress less about all the pop-ups and notifications and realise that the city can wait. If I add a few bushes and trees, it will be okay
Expand the tram! Both to the old town and into the train line and maybe transform the entirety of the river shore (at least in the urbanized area) into a park/river walk
Love the high speed railway! IMO the old industrial area(the first one u made) could be reformed for living spaces, shops and offices since you build the new port outside of the city. So that could make room for a lokal train station and a new urban area.
So many taxies. Maybe the prices are way cheaper than bus or tram. Its either that or the comfort level of taxies are way high, but thats difficult to remedy. Maybe getting rid of any dispatch centers or upgrading all trams and bus stations with the fancy amenities or covered stops? Amazing build, as usual!
I think one proposal would be to pedestrianize the entire mess by the train station up to the bridge, divert all but service traffic a block back from the river, which can get upgraded roads and simplified intersections...a clockwise one-way, roundabout, or couplet (best) through the district.
Wow this city is absolutely beautiful, I like how you tackle things slowly and gives more thought and imagination to it. I love how it was detailed meticulously, not just throwing some plants and trees around the corner. I wish we could have more airtime with the newly added details and just enjoy the sceneries. I can't believe I have binged watched the whole series and I haven't even played city skylines for like 5 years now.
Hurrah for the high speed train! Although, I think it would probably better if it by-passed the (already) very busy intersection in the city center, through a tunnel.
Beautiful! HST is here... and bravo on not shoehorning in the connection to the main platforms! To be fair though, you could probably have not bought the three tiles that the tunnel totally went under in terms of justification. But you've got the money sorted now so no worries. Really good to see almost instant usage of the line too! Those taxi volumes are nuts.
Thanks, Tigon! I'm really happy with how it turned out! I thought about going through the unpurchased tiles with Anarchy, but since tunnelling is so cheap, the upkeep on the tiles can somehow emulate the cost a project like this would have on the budget for both construction and future maintenance
I would reconsider bringing the tram on the other side of the road and bring it to the backside of the station along the River access Quay and build him throw the junction 22:24
Has anyone ever said you kind of sound like professor Brian Cox...? It's all I can see when watching your videos lol. Any second you're going to tell me about quantum tunnelling and what that means for roadway maintenance in my city.
@26:30 -- unless this is a bug, you can use policies to institute taxi fees and crank them up to ₡50/trip. Theoretically, trip affordability is a component in pathfinding, so if you turn down (or off) fees on your trams while turning them up on the cabs, then cab trips will be limited to higher income workers.
Lovely video, lovely city! I'd also like to point out that your city center's shape, street layout and monuments positions match a lot with the city of Constanța, Romania. Maybe you'd be interested in considering replicating a bit more of the city's layout and design 😁.
I think the city needs some sort of 4 lane highways going around your city to improve traffic. Or at least one going to it with a few interchanges and stuff like that.
Hey, I think you should consider expanding your highway system, but instead of widening the existing roads or converting them into two-way, two-lane highways, why not take a different approach? Keep the current highways as they are and build a separate, larger highway that connects to them at key points. For example, in Spain, we have the AP-7, which runs alongside smaller national highways, and they’re connected at various points. This way, you wouldn’t need to replace the old infrastructure but could improve the overall flow of traffic with a complementary system.
Which mod allows you to change the type of train? I am on a North American map but prefer the European trains. Can you also do this with other service buildings?
I'm woundering if you tell me how do you run this game so good? Tell us about your system's hardware and game settings. You can also make a video about it. Thanks.
I don’t have a super computer, I'm happy to play at 1440p with some lower settings, but I think the main contributor to simulation speed is both CPU and pathfinding. Compact cities run a little smoother than wider larger cities. Hopefully new updates will improve this over time
Hey there! Thanks for your interest! Since the save has local assets, sharing it widely is a bit tricky. For now, I'm sharing it with my YT/Patreon supporters so I can help troubleshoot for anyone trying it out, thanks!

Of course, It makes sense

Thank you! I can definitely see the warehouse district regeneration project coming up, I love that idea!
Scunny you do have a keen eye for desire-lines in making pedestrian paths! Kudos.

Thank you! I have the minimum fair at the max already 😭 - thanks for the advice!
Feliz Navidad! 🎄
শুভ বড়দিন।🎅🏾

This is my absolute favourite CS2 series, great work sunny!
The traffic at 0:15 is caused by having two nodes occupying the same space

Thank you so much! I’m just sharing the way I play the game, I try not to overbuild anything. So glad you’re enjoying it, more to come this year too!

That is a beautiful-looking city. My efforts are lacking much detailing at all - so its nice to see someone who has a good handle on it.

Ooh Highspeed Rail
great episode! please grade separate the remaining rail and bridge crossing, and consider a tram line from the square past the train station.
I just love your slow play-style 🙂
I was thinking... maybe you can increase taxis fees and force people to use more trams and busses
I am crying out for a compact, ploppable, pedestrian overpass instead of having to build these huge sloped bridges 😢
Has anyone ever said you kind of sound like professor Brian Cox...? It's all I can see when watching your videos lol. Any second you're going to tell me about quantum tunnelling and what that means for roadway maintenance in my city.
haha I wish! Love that man!

Already at max! But I'll give the other tips a go, thanks!

On another note, I'd love to know all the mods and packs you're using! You've got great taste in building your cities!
Thank you! Constanta is a beautiful place
Awesome build as always!

Poor farmer who got his field ruined by a few pillars 😂 36:22
Would also like to recommend the "Farming Surfaces and Decals" mod by TheBroMan10. Makes farms more realistic 😀 Great work though Mr. Sunny 😁
I saw them too, they're beautiful!
Somehow cims usually prefer using cars when go to work, even free bus rides sometimes

the traffic starting making my video buffer, lol
YES NEW SUNNY
Are there more videos to come ?? I wud love to see more on industries and a big downtown with office and high density
which mods are you using to make those paths and parks? great work
'Extra Networks and Areas', this includes invisible paths as well as edit the 'hangout' areas in parks.
@@SunnyScunny thanks !
how do you get those more trains or trams varietions? what mod is it?
Tigon’s Rail Infrastructure Pack - on PDX Mods
tram lines and buses
Which mod allows you to change the type of train? I am on a North American map but prefer the European trains. Can you also do this with other service buildings?
Tigons Rail Infrastructure Pack has some good options!
How did you get the metro on the train tracks? I have never seen this mod before
never mind i found the listing in the description my fault
How did you get the small trains?
Tigon’s Rail Infrastructure Asset Pack in PDX Mods
How do you get the small custom train?

amazing
Wondering if you'll ever place a save file of this in PDX mods. 🙏🙏🙏

I would get rid of the taxis
I wish we could ban them. They clog my city up every time I play. They are so annoying.
you can call him mr.mulligan
How to use this subway vehicle asset for Train? The train model is not beautiful I think
There's a mod called Tigon's Rail Infrastructure Pack that unlocks more train models
@ Thank u👍
Say no to HS2!
I would do both things! New tram route and upgrading the highway roads 🤍
