@@thegisgaming Shadowside was probably the darkest and most mature the series has got so far... but yeah, this definitely seems to be for more mature fans of the series while still keeping that childlike charm from the originals.
They turned it to level 6.
they really put some work in to this game and yeah it is very dark because there is a legend in japan called yo kai they are very dark souls so they decided to put some actuall real life stuff in the anime and games.

@@meorjibatheanimeotaku2651 The first and second game had the theme made by the Phineas and Ferb creator, but Busters and 3 had the King Cream Soda songs from those games dubbed. Must’ve been a change in localization between 2 and 3

One thing I wonder is how many new yokai there will be so far we have only seen those introduced in the anime (which have a chance of not being in the game) and ones shown here
Maybe like in the Japanese version of wib wob puni puni there be 8000 yo kai (yes there is a lot) and introducing the Z rank yo kai

I really want that game in France, that seem to be a very good Yo-kai Watch story, with that mythologic aspect, i really love that ! I already enjoyed playing the first and second ( not the third sadly ), i want the fourth !

Le jeu est entierement en japonais mais est assez explicite. Au pire tu peux regarder un let's play fr du jeu a coté pour les moments ou tu est bloqué ;)

The polar bear Yo Kai seen with Jibanyan, Whisper, Komasan, Komajiro, and USApyaon makes me believe that Katie will finally learn of Yo Kai and that one will be her partner.
The polar bear is called Shirokuma in Japanese.

It has seemingly been confirmed that Katie will be one of the playable characters.
Or it could possibly be the parallel katie from YKW3?
keep in mind that Katie was a playable character in yo kai watch 1 and 2 but i guess that wasn't cannon and in ykw 4 Katie learning about yo kai will become cannon

To those who are unsure if they want to buy ykw4 because of the language barrier, if you have played the previous games and have liked them then I would definitely reccomened to buy it but to the people who haven't played any of the previous games I would reconsider and maybe play one of the previous ones first

ShadowSide isn’t Dub and new Yokai Watch series ( 2019) is airing in Japan.

I just ordered this game yesterday for my switch it will my christmas gift for myself. I've never played the game series before. But I just randomly heard the song yesterday and I was like okay let me try it out. So it will be here next wednesday!!

No you don't, if you need an entry point play yo Kai watch 3. Regardless, I'm sure you can get into this experience without prior knowledge of the series. Considering that almost everything about the games has been reworked for yo Kai watch 4

It just got localized in china and level 5 is starting up there western offices again so theres actually more of a chance now more than ever!

the other games took 2 years to localize, expect it then.
there is also a chance it doesn't happen since this game contains characters of the shadowside anime/movie and that contains darker themes
@@lunastie39 There were apparently plans to bring Shadowside to the west, but Yo-Kai Watch is struggling here and they most likely don't have to budget when you consider the VA change in the anime dub and games

So I'm not comlaining about level 5 or anything they're doing great. However I think Yo-kai Watch deserves a lot more attention and love in America and other places in the world. Disney XD drops the anime from the air for what? Beyblade? People call it a pokémon rip-off when its completely different it literally every way, and Hazbro stopped production on thier yo-kai watch merchandise. I love this franchise to death and it really needs more recognition
That's very accurate, I may not have kept up with the anime (the new voice actors were very jarring) and I may not have kept up with the toys, but this series is very underappreciated in several ways

I never played any Yokai games. I've seen a few episodes and thought they were very creative and cute.
Here, I am a hardcore Pokémon fan. I don't see how PKMN fans see Yokai Watch as a Pokémon-wannabe. It's very unique and has a good style.

As a Pokémon fan myself, I really love playing Yo-kai Watch.
Playing Yo-kai Watch 1 for the first time as an adukt gave me similar feelings to playing Pokémon for the first time as a child.
So, I'd definitely recommend trying out the series.
But, since tastes can vary greatly, I can't compltely guarantee you would like it too, of course.
I am a pokemon fan as well, and i think the yokai watch games are amazing. Definitely recommend.

@@Shadow-qt1hd I mean't the Japanese Versions of the games used Gera Gera Po, in which the Localized versions both got Swampy Marsh, so now that Gera Gera Po is back, Swampy Marsh would come back too.
Judging that 2 in Japan used Gera Gera Po, and 1 and 2 in America used the Yo Kai Watch theme, I would say that 4 would most certainly use the Yo Kai Watch theme.
