Counter tip- apples trees are one of the best tools to make diamonds and medals. Hire farmhands, surround them with apple trees. Place oodles of fruit stands so you have room for the apples and barns so you get +100 to gold nuggets per barn. Farmhands will collect soooo many nuggets that you can sell for medals. 10nugs=1 medal. Then sell all the apples at the stand for diamonds OR make jam for additional medals.

What a pain! Hope you're doing well! I kind of want to go through these old videos and get a screenshot of your map every day and do a time-lapse. I gotta harvest these freakin crystals first though... *hug*
Thanks for the info on leveling the jobs - I had hoped maybe the time would reduce or increased rewards. I noticed the farmhands won't feed the unicorns from this event - out of interest, will they harvest event fish? I've seen an indication they won't during the event, but will after the event stops. Also, probably best to wait till your new computer is up and running before playing Medieval Dynasty. I'm on a break from it partly because of my computer - my new one arrives next week hopefully. I've never played Minecraft, and am thinking about giving that a go soon.
Thank you for the hints and tips :) I started the event on my main farm and a smaller one (level 20, so I was even able to sell the fabric) but that one went broke because I didn't realize how much money the event crops and unicorns actually eat before I seriously ran out of money there, logged off with 42 coins and not all the animals fed. :D I have to change to one of my other small farms and "suck it dry" for more event crops, I guess. :) Helping on farms during event time has felt weird for me, I can't see if they still need things for the event or not and on some of them people hang out afk, seemingly waiting to harvest event crops they seem to have planted themselves. I have seen farms with 200 instead of 100 event crops, not sure if this is a sign that the owner has finished the event or just progressed far? I'm still working my way up to 3000 and can only plant 100 each on any of my farms. I was wondering one thing about moving animals in the game: it seems when I move animals they lose their feed. I'm not sure if I get some money back or not, but for the more expensive ones that feels like a way to lose a lot of coins. I wonder whether it was put in to stop players from moving animals into a "quest spot" for farmhands to take care of? Which is exactly what I was planning to do, until it seemed very expensive in coins all of a sudden. I haven't managed to unlock the better pumpkin you showed at 13:10 yet, but this is something to look forward to! I've leveled the grapes and wasn't too impressed with the red grapes. The things that become unlocked by leveling things seem generally better than the ones you were able to plant before, but not all of them seem to be really good. 17:30-50 No real animals were harmed in this game ;-) I hope your voice gets enough rest and your health continues to improve, all the best!
How do you perform more then 9 actions at a time? Please tell me there is a way or this will take forever to plant, harvest & plow thousands of squares!
I've been building fencing this morning. In the past hour, I have cursed at the game, loudly, three times when the fence went down in the wrong direction. Only two of those contained the f-word. I consider this a success.

I think you said this in a previous comment, but it's fun to look back and see where we were in playing the game (to be fair, when this came out, I was still more than 6 months away from even getting the game (the comment starting this thread must have been when TH-cam put this on my front page of suggestions recently). I'm awake at 2:30am because my brain is... well, it's something that doesn't like sleeping through the night apparently. I do need to work on this alchemy event, so at least there's that.
