Owen and Tosh: I hope that this story goes some way in explaining their emotional trauma. Ianto: I really just wanted to write a romantic comedy... with a pterodactyl.
I can believe it; it shows around the edges and it's probably covered up by makeup while they're shooting. He's such a gorgeous, gorgeous man, though, that I don't care. It's nice whenever you see one so well preserved, lol!
I'm not dissing Ionto's 'backstory', but it wasn't really him pre-Torchwood. It was him wanting to carry on working for Torchwood even though he knows how dangerous it was as he would have watched all his friends from Torchwood 1 die. We didn't see his life back when he was a normal guy. Its sort of the same for Tosh because although we saw her before she worked or Torchwood she was still involved in something that was extra terrestrial, cause its how she ended up in that prison thing. I know that it was only a 45 minute episode and that Big Finish have probably filled that plot hole with Zone 10 - that's what I have presumed from the trailer and reading about the plot - but would it of been that hard to make it a two parter? Like first episode Ionto and Tosh's story then at the end before the credits say something like: NEXT EPISODE THE PRE-TORCHWOOD OF JACK AND OWEN Then we would have more detail that I would have liked to have seen like the reason behind Jack getting into so many fights and why nearly every time he ended up dying - that's what was implied. And maybe how Owen and his Fiancé met, as that could of shown more depth onto how close they were. But yeah other than those points I loved this episode. And Wow. I intended this to be a short comment
It wasn't their pre-Torchwood. It was their pre-Torchwood 3. The reason you saw Owen with no connection is because there was no connection to Torchwood or anything else like that before Torchwood 3.
Thanks for this, it gives me a bit more insight to how much fun the boys had with their "flashbacks". I also like it because there wasn't any Gwen added to it, sometimes she needs to be separate. (sorry to any Gwen fans)
Tosh and owen: deep stories, dramatic and emotional.
Ianto: a romantic comedy with a pterodactyl
"...a romantic comedy with a pterodactyl between Jack and Ianto." Does anyone else find that encouraging?

It was great to see the members origins pre Torchwood in this episode.
If I was 10 . . . that would've been awesome but now I'm 40. And it's STILL AWESOME!!! Lol I love John!!

LMAO AT JOHN!!
oh, this just so totally rules!!
thank you so much for uploading!!
It was Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (season 2, episode 1) when Jack was explaining to Gwen where he went with the Doctor.
Oh my god! He looks no where near 40! He looks like early 30s. Damn! :D
That was so cool! Thanks for uploading.
Even TH-cam comments aren't safe from petty Gwen-hate. Big surprise.
I was thinking the same thing.
I figured 30's.

Thanks, I was watching the TW eps I recorded on Tivo and found it, I get it now.
Random question, what part of which episode does Jack explain that being brought back was like being hauled over broken glass?
OMG at 0:52 i have the same desktop background as on that laptop :D
