    Is there any other city or town in Serbia I should visit? Any other Serbian foods I should try? Let me know :)

      Subotica is lovely, as well as Sombor, Zrenjanin and Vršac.

      Thanks for the recommendations! I was actually in Subotica this week and will be coming out with my vlog from there soon. I’ll definitely have to visit the other places you mentioned.

    Zemun is Austro-Hungarian influenced mostly. One of the many reasons why my country is very beautiful and worthy to visit. Stay safe mate.😉

      That reminds me of my grandfather who was born at the turn of the last century. He always called Zemun "Austrija"

    Too bad for this fog, at 0:09 with good weather you can see up to Old Town and whole Zemun and New Belgrade.

    • @NomAdventurers
      @NomAdventurers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I’ll visit again when it’s not foggy. The fog did make it look really cool with the silhouette of the city.

    If you are after small plates of delicious dishes I suggest AmБar restaurant in Beton-hala on the Sava waterfront. They also have an offer of a series of six or seven small dishes the waiters keep bringing one after the other as you have finished the previous. They originally started business in Washington DC. They also have regular sized dishes.
    There is a whole row of good restaurants in Beton-hala.

      Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll have to try that restaurant out.

    We didn''t make ajvar with eggplants - maybe depends on the village.

    • @NomAdventurers
      @NomAdventurers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I meant that it reminds me of eggplant spread but I think the one I had at that restaurant was made of peppers, salt and olive oil.

      Pravi se i sa patlidzanom ali nije toliko popularan generalno jer je vise posla da se napravi tada. Od malena znam da smo mi pravili svake jeseni dve ture, jedna sa patlidzanom i druga bez.

    I think those are baby or spring potatoes (they are called literally "young potatoes" in Serbian), very good combination with kaymak. They are very popular in spring in Serbia. Ohohoh, and there are different variations of kaymak - young, old, more or less salty, with stronger or milder taste ... Ayvar is beyond words once you discover what it is all about, of course if it is good quality.
    I suggest that you as connoisseur of pork try good chvartzi, duvan-chvartzi and sprza. There is a chain of little shops in Belgrade and N.Sad called "Butik chvaraka" selling fresh, warm, absolutely delicious produce including pogachitze with chvartzi, and saltchichi. There are lines in front of those at all times. You get a kilo of heavenly sprza for nine dollars. 200 grams is enough per person.

      Those potatoes with kajmak were absolutely delicious. Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try to find that shop and try their baked pastries with pork. Sounds tasty!

    Hay, what about danube promenade with like 10 restaurants and cafes in a row? Main pedestrian street of Zemun? Glavna street? This is like 40 percent of Zemun 😉😉😉

    im from zemun, if u ask me that part of city around tower is so ugly, i would destroy it and build smth new and fancy, but its under protection bcs its like hundreds of years old, everything u see there is from ottoman and austrohungarian era...
