I love the atmosphere they made for this channel but sometimes you just see how they did some things just for the shot. XD I'd rather squat over a hole I dig and cover it up. Either way, though, I think you're supposed to use a bag over the bucket. Last time I went camping, there was a similar seat and tent, but we weren't allowed to shit in it (for *that* a hole did need to be dug), and the seat had a trash bag underneath.
I live in an RV and my toilet was out of order once, so I got a bucket, and put a good trash bag in it. When I was done, I kind of got the air out carefully and tied it up tightly and then just threw it away. That was the first time I ever used the bathroom that way, it wasn't so bad. 😁😎

You should do the average British holiday where you go to a cleepthorpes campsite known as Haven. And you can get bigger caravans, that actually have the toilet inside.
This video made me sooo proud of my camper van renovation. My van is very similar to this (a Mercedes Sprinter), but It has a permanent bed, kitchen area, toilet/shower and seating. Apart from plumbing and electrics, I did most of the build myself, without the hideous decor and lighting 😂 and I’ve managed to incorporate lots of storage.
Camped for years with my parents for years in Co. Kerry, Ireland. At the time it was sh*t but when you look back now we have so many stories!! It rained one year for 2 weeks straight, the day we were meant to leave the sun was splitting the skies so both my parents rang in sick for work for the next three days and we had a great time! We had a Nissan Micra pulling a Trailer-Tent......took us 7 hours to get to Kerry from Dublin. The trailer-tent was like a sail on the back of the car!! Love your channel, just found it!! It's hilarious! xxx
My husband and I rented from Cruise America 3 times before we ended up,buying our motorhome. It’s a fabulous way to travel but cruise America vehicles are not comfortable. The couch, the bed, the seats, the dinette….none of it is comfortable. It felt like sitting on a bench. Wow this monstrosity you bought is wild! The toilet situation in vans is why we have a motorhome with a real bathroom and shower.

Maybe you have a certain video length you prefer to stick to - then make a part 2 or just a "behind the scenes: exploring Place A". Could just be a 10 minute video, but it would be enjoyable. Don't get me wrong - the vids are great as is, but they do feel a bit abrupt/choppy at the ends :)
