Its just the Lexan material that Nolan uses which is softer than the poly carbonate that HJC uses, the softer shell helps to take some of the impact. But in general all of these helmets like Nolan, Vemar are similar quality and feels cheaper than top brands like HJC.
Most of nolan helmets does that noise its from the eps they using some times the eps its not attached right to the shel.Have one nolan and sent it back to the store.
Also this helmet chin bar mechanishm is not known to stay in place, so I would avoid this helmet return it and get a HJC Rpha 90 which is on sale now for the same price of around $300

useless video. The only noise I'm concerned about is wind noise while WEARING a helmet..... waste of several minutes.
