I am a bit confused at 14:06 when you say usual single crochet is it in the back loop or both loops. Also when you say complete 3 rows are we repeating the rows after making the star
For adult size I chained 46 and then divided 10 for the brim, 30 for the star stitches where I made 15 star stitches and 6 for the top. It took me one day to complete and it turned out great. This design is so unique and awesome. I also used a pink color wool for it and I'm going to gift it to my grandmother for her birthday.
I purchased this pattern on Etsy. I think the instructions are a bit clearer in that pattern. Have made several of Sirin's patterns. She comes up with stitches I have never seen before, so even as an experienced crocheter, I usually watch her You Tube video. Once watching the video, I find the stitches easy to do. If you think her patterns are too difficult, watch her channel. You will get so many compliments! Love her work. Obviously English is not her first language and I really appreciate that she makes the effort to produce her works in English so we all can enjoy them. Thank you, Sirin!
*Tip to others* when breaking pattern up into the 3 sections, and deciding the number of stitches for the middle"pattern" part. it has to be multiples of 2 because the star pattern row uses 2 sc for one "star". (to start i chained 50+1.....for brim:10, middle/pattern:34, top:6=50stitches.. )
This hat is so beutiful, I have a litte niece that is two years old, I will make this in a pink and sparkely yarn for her. I´m sure she is going to love this. I love your patterns they are so easy to follow. Thank you so much.
Such a beautiful hat pattern, thank you for sharing. ❤ I am making hats, scarves and mittens for all my family members for Christmas and I can’t wait to get started on these hats for the girls. Thanks again! 🙏❤
Hi from cold and snowy Detroit Michigan! This is a wonderful pattern, I'm so happy I came across it. I have the perfect yarn in my stash to try it out. Thank you so much taking the time to share this.
Hi. I'm very please to you like the hat this much. I'm working on a few new hats and i will share them soon. I hope you like them too. Have a good day 💖
Found you when I first started crocheting about a year ago, then lost you for a while. Glad I found your channel again! I love your voice, it is so beautiful, and your designs are lovely. ❤️
I was watching a lot of other tutorials from other pages but lately , this is the only channel I like ! Thank you so much for your easy to follow tutorials !
Hi Sirin. I just made this hat for myself. I made the brim shorter because I didn't want to turn it up and it turned out beautiful! It looked like it would be hard to make but once I figured out how many chains I needed, it was quite easy. You do beautiful work and you now have a new subscriber. Thank you.
Thank you so much for making such a beautiful pattern seem so doable. You’re a great teacher and I’m so happy to have come across you! Thank you. I can’t wait to make this beautiful beanie. ❤️
I have subscribed to your youtube and instagram channels. I love your hat patterns and I will crochet some for my charity donations. thanks again for sharing:)
Wonderful pattern! I'm so excited to make this! If I could give one small piece of advice, it is so much easier to work into the "first front post" of a half-double crochet instead of a single crochet, and you will still get that same amazing texture on the right side. So instead of doing the normal single crochets (where you do sc in both front and back loops), instead do normal hdc in both front and back loops all the way across on the row while working on the right side. Then on the next row, work in sc in the first front loop of each hdc whole working on the wrong side.
Lol I’m left handed. So it’s all Greek to me. After the final row of the star stitch. I had zero idea what comes next I can crochet fairly well. Most stitches and read basic patterns. I really wanted to make this. How sad.
hi I just finished making this gorgeous hat and I love it. Thank you sooooo much for this. It is so different and I am going to make another one. Thanks again and I love your tutorials and also you are very easy to follow. I think I heard a "kitty" in background as well and that makes it extra special.
Absolutely beautiful!! Love that the stitches change often so I don’t get bored half way through. 😊 You have such a calming voice, it put me in a trance 😌🥰 👏🏼
Gorgeous beanie! I am making this now for an adult. But. Would request that you mention the row number. You have a back loop SC row after the HDC row. Then you started the normal SC on the 2 loops. You said 3 rows of that. Then I realised that the star stitch is on row 3. The HDC on row 4, then the back loop on row 5, then the normal SC should be on row 6 & 7. I realised too late much later and did the normal SC for 3 rows, that is row 6. 7 & 8. So I had to modify from your pattern a little to accommodate the extra normal SC row, although I ripped my work to watch your video again. Second time I still made the same mistake although I rewound to listen more carefully. It was 3 rows I heard. So naming the row number would help immensely. Otherwise, the whole tutorial was well taught. Good job in trying to use English! Commendable effort!
Sophie Hsiah, did you happen to write out the pattern? I am so confused, but like the hat and would love to make it. I have watched it many times and missing something.
@@mtaylor2406 No, I did not write out the pattern but I did get the hang of it later and have finished my hat albeit, modified the pattern a bit so that I didn't have to rip it. So the back part of my hat is slightly different from the front part but the pattern is such that it's not noticeable. You can do some improvisation.
I used Caron SS yarn and my tension was quite tight. However, if you use a yarn like Red Heart Super Saver, which is weight 4 but the yarn tends to be more rough, the pattern would be more prominent.
Some times l end up with too many stitches. And other times l don't have enough. Just trying to understand the stitches 😁. I will try your pattern and see how l go. Thank you 😊
The hat is gorgeous!!! You definitely have skills!!! But for a beginner like me it's a little to hard to follow all of it, but I will keep in my saved play list so maybe one day I'll have increased my skills enough to make this hat!!! You have beautiful eye and skills in CROCHET!!
It's not too hard but you need to know very well how to use crochet hook. So I understand you. 😊I hope you will do and wear it some day. Thanks for this lovely words. 😽😽😽
I had two more repeats and I was done with an adult size hat with a double brim (20 sts) when I realized every time I did the star stitch row, I was dropping one stitch. I was so into it that I didn't notice until I'm nearly done. 😂 So like every good crocheter, i bought new yarn and I'm back to see where I went wrong. 😊
I just found your channel and I feel so lucky! Your designs are so beautiful and you explain everything so well, thank you! I just subscribed and I'm waiting for more ! :)
