We were there 2 weeks ago with our grandson at Plotters Forest and it was packed for food when we went, so thank good ness we had a few bits to keep us going. You bacon bun looked fantastic and well worth another visit, although my brother in law was there a few weeks back and disappointed with the amount of bacon her got, maybe depends on who is on serving. Great view and very informative Miss Raby too, cheers Alan
Thanks for watching Alan and yes what a great place to go to although not cheap but worth it , shame about your brother in law and it’s the first time I’ve tried the black treacle bacon but it won’t be the last , I’ve been waiting a few weeks to go down there once the kids got back to school and we went early but by 11 o’clock the place was starting to fill up .Thanks Kev
Hi Alan thanks for watching and I must say Black treacle ham on the bone sounds amazing good memories those , and yes I didn’t want the chutney in my bun but was pleasantly surprised as it was quite nice and found it was home made on the farm and I was tempted to buy a couple of the pork and black pudding sausage rolls , maybe next time . And yes Miss Raby a nice eloquent team leader and a credit to Raby Castle .
Great place for a morning out for you and the Mrs Kevin. Weather nice too. Bacon roll looked quality as did their items in the shop. Bet that venison is really tasty. Top choice for a review.
Hi Kevin & Wife. What a fabulous looking house and gardens, in fine weather great place to have a wander. The proper way to serve bacon. Thick sliced, and well cooked. Not sure chutney is the best thing to put on a bacon sarnie /bap/cob or roll, but I'd give it a go. Back when I was younger (much 50yrs plus) high days and holidays mum used to buy Black Treacle Ham of the bone. Think it was called Bradman? was a long time ago. The fat had a deep dark rim. Lovely, expensive oh but the memories. £6 well you pay for the best. The lady on the soundtrack sounded so enthusiastic about the produce, and why not the array of baked goods had me drooling. Another brilliant video Kevin, keep them coming. Allan&Family
Thanks for watching Alan and the old saying " you only get what you pay for is true " It was a very tasty bun and the accidental addition of chutney was surprisingly nice as not too overpowering , The display of food they had on display all looked first class and i will be paying a return visit , Catch you in the next one Kev
Looked like a good butty, maybe a bit over priced though.l used to work at a butchers near Wetherby and they did black treacle bacon along with dry cured bacon and bacon chops all of which were absolutely delicious 😋. Good review👍.p.s.have a look at'Sykes House Farm '.
Thanks for your comments Steve and I’ve just checked out Sykes and wow what a class butchers , I was in butchery most of my life and you see some that are only average but they look to at the top , Thanks for watching.
Good for you Ann He’s too fussy isn’t he 🤪 Kev I get dry cured smoked bacon from my butcher It’s fabulous but I’ve just started throwing a couple of ripe banana in pan to cook along side Lightly toasted brown bread Total cost 🤷♂️🤷♂️ £2 🤪🤪 per sandwich Sounds strange only fabulous flavours Try it
Hi pal thanks for watching and sounds like you have a class butcher and wow never heard of cooking banana alongside bacon, it sounds like a Caribbean thing but will get Ann to cook me some and let you know

Shark goes swimming past a whale with a squid on it‘s fin. Stops, says to whale „oi, here‘s that sick squid I owe you“. Groan.
Can't beat a bit of chutney.
Thanks for watching and it actually was okay
@thedurhamvlogger Don't live far so I'll try it.
Bacon looked nice but pricey, I’m with you no chutney maybe a bit of brown sauce!
Thanks for your comments much appreciated and yes not the cheapest but one of the tastiest
