    Thanks to some commenters, I now realize I mixed up the Roth IRA and 401K accounts! 😂🫣 Should be the reverse. I apologize for the confusion!

    Hi, are you sure that the RRSP is equivalent to a Roth IRA and the TFSA equivalent to a 401(k)? Other sources seem to claim that the RRSP is equivalent to a 401(k) and TFSA equivalent to a Roth IRA. Anyway, nice video and congratulations to you for being debt free and on your way to financial independence. Well done!

    Hi Gabby, I love your videos and I have been using your spreadsheet for the past four months and I love how detail it is. I have a question regarding the sinking funds I save my money in one account like you do but my question is for example there are some months were I take money from my sinking funds but it doesnt reflect in my savings sheet or anywhere else. Let me know how I can keep a track of the updated amount in my sinking funds. Thank you

    • @GabbyPeterson17
      @GabbyPeterson17  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello :) thank you so much for buying the spreadsheet!! So glad you are enjoying. Yes this is a common question I get, a bit of an oversight that I didnt add the savings into the money in/ money out drop downs! But what I have been doing is deducting the amount I take out from the values in the Savings sheet. You can click into the formula at the top of the page, it will prompt you with a warning that you are editing, and then subtract off the value or click the cell in your expense tracker with the amount you took out. It's a bit more manual but it keeps it correct at least.

Using a visually appealing budget tracker and finding other financially aware females online also helped a ton! I love Ramit Sehti’s perspective on money, he’s all about living a rich life where there is room for fun spending as long as you’re investing/ saving as well. Instead of pulling money from your emergency fund to pay off your credit card, why not throw what you can’t pay off onto a line of credit and then pay off the line of credit the next time you get paid?

    • @GabbyPeterson17
      @GabbyPeterson17  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's an option! Especially if you can get a 0% line of credit. But I have a fully funded emergency fund and sinking funds so I don't feel that I am at any risk by paying off with cash. Plus I wonder if I would run up that line of credit because mentally it feels like low risk debt.
