Hey I noticed you always use cerakote. Have you ever tried Duracoat? I Duracoated my cobra irons with matte black Duracoat with gloss black paint fill. Love them. I don’t duracoat the face. Either leave it blasted or I use Perma Blue on the faces. I love duracoat, you don’t have to bake it and it fully cures in 3 weeks. Have held up pretty well. I’m going to refinish my putter with the duracoat finish in a few weeks.
Amazing work, inspirational. Do you mind sharing what you used as the white filler around the gap of the insert on the detour? Is it a special type of silicone or is there anything off the rack that works? Trying to figure out where in the process to apply it to get the same results you did.
Thanks so much for sharing such detail in your restorations. I just picked up a bettinardi bb56 that I plan to strip and paint. There are only minor scuffs and dents so not much grinding required. Question is, I don't have access to a sand blaster...do you think the enamel paint will adhere ok on the metal surface with sand blasting or no?
I don't understand the question. Are you cerakoting the putter? If so, then it absolutely needs to be sand blasted. If you're just talking about paintfill then no.
That’s awesome man! Just a quick question. I have a sight line on my 2016 I want to get filled in. Where do you recommend I get that done at? Thank you! ❤
I've been enjoying your videos thank you for your excellent content! Question: I bought an old TP Mills Spalding TPM putter to play with, and I can't get the shaft out of the hosel, even after heating it on my open flame stove. What else can I do to get it out? Will appreciate any suggestion!
You need to concentrate the head source right on the hosel, and once it's heated well slowly start twisting the shaft out. I've never saw one with a TP MIlls before but also check and make sure it's not pinned.
super nice job. love those colors together
Awesome job once again
Thank you!
Dude, they look amazing. Love copper and black!! Very nice!
Thanks!

Incredible as always.
Thank you!
They look sick, been waiting for this video to come out!!!
Thanks!
Great job! With nicks and dings on face, how much sanding or what grit should be used? I’m sure original milling will be effected.

Cerakote if done properly is way more durable than Duracoat. That and after baking for 2 hours it's fully cured.
That’s good to know. Thank you. 2 hours is awesome! And more durable… definitely will consider it.

It's just bath and/or kitchen caulk. There's many kinds. And I'm still testing them out 🤷♂️

I would have loved to see the painting process.. awesome job. I'm getting into painting putters and I'm wondering what type of spray paint do u use?
It's Cerakote. A bake on paint.
Love the color scheme for these Scottys. Beautiful work! How's the copper insert feel compared to the original insert from the 2016 Select?
Every personal gamer I have that has an insert I replace with Copper. I love the feel.
Love your videos! Do you recommend a 6-inch grinder or do you think a 3-inch will suffice?
My bench grinder is an 8" and I wouldn't recommend anything smaller

What kind of wheel do you use on your bench tool?
Check the description. Everything I use is all there!
Would love to send my Scotty in, anyway to send me contact info so I can find out more?
