Amazing work! Great run down of the process. I am attempting to build a rangehood cover in similar fashion and the access panel details are very handy. Any chance you have the install video or blog ? Can;t seem to find it in the channel.
Hi Oscar. Thanks for watching and thank a for your question. I did not make an install video for the range hood. It was attached to to a tile wall with a French cleat
Thanks for posting this build - very useful! How did you fix the French cleat at the top of the box onto the MDF? Is it a butt joint secured with the nail gun?
Hi Bill. It’s been awhile but I think I used the home right sprayer on that range hood It was recommended by The Handyman and it worked great for awhile but then it didn’t I’m gonna say it was because of my half hearted cleaning attempt. I may buy another one if that says anything. I used latex and that sprayer requires thinning which is kind of a hassle I’m thinking it was pro classic but I also use Sherwins water base alkyd a lot for furniture and cabinets
RWA Handyman Solutions thanks very much! I’m copying your cover but have one more question if you don’t mind? Where and how are the runners supported that the hood attaches to?
What size insert blower do I need for a 48-inch range,I was hoping to use a 36 bc it's more available and less expensive. I thought I would need a 46 inch but then thought the blower probably needs to be smaller to build around it?
Great video great idea but it was a waste watching because you don't show the extra poly or the finished product installed what's the sense-making a video from start without a finish .. This was a great video without an ending.
Awesome job! Like the 4 coats of semi, easy to clean. 2 parts of a build, design and functionality you got it on both
nice tunes
Hi. Do have plans anywhere? Thanks
Love your videos! Keep up the good work
Did he install the cleat the wrong way?? The way I see it, it will not hold up. 7:32
Looks amazing! Do u have a video on how to install it to the wall ?

Thanks for the video. Great work and very useful for my first attempt at this. Did you happen to make the install video?
Thanks Dan Unfortunately I did not have my camera onsite for install.

BEAUTIFUL.
By any chance do u sell those pre made hood ?
The 1/2” ply runners are the only structural piece holding the hood up? How much does that weigh?
Do you like your spray gun? Did you have to thin it? Did you just use latex or enamel (pro classic)?

Great job
Thanks for the video
Beautiful!!! Is the front panel cut at a taper where it sits on the “box”?
Yes sir. Access panel is just snug enough to rest inside the frame without any fasteners
