In Iloilo City Meron silang heritage district at hindi allowed mag patayo ng mata taas na building. Pero anything outside the heritage zone puede magpatayo ng skyscraper. Usually ang design ng bagong building halos nag be blend sa mga old buildings.

Yung belfry ay off limits at tanda ko hindi p ayos ang plaza meron mga basag na pader buti now maayos na. Yung church hanggang labas lang kami. Dko napansin yang agatona museum pero lam ko near capitolyo meron isang museo then turn right naman papunta sA port area. Sana mapasok mo yung belfry 🙏❤️ meron ako selfie dyan. Calle Sto. Rosario, the oldest street in Iloilo City is also full of heritage houses... Most nga lng are NOT rehabilitated or restored pa.. Maybe in the future. You can also find the Old Casino Español de Iloilo being restored right now. It was ballroom club and casino during the Spanish and Ameican period. This grand building is currently owned by Jose Mari Chan's family.
Ruperto Jalandoni the husband of Agatona Arguelles was born in Silay and happened to be the brother of Bernardino Jalandoni which is now the "Pink House" Museum in Silay.

The curator did not mention the Painter of the portrait my grand aunt have a portrait painted by Amorsolo that cost 3000 pesos in the 1920's that 's a lot of money at that time and the main characteristic of this painting is where ever you go the eye seems to follow so they gave the portrait a title called The Eyes unfortunate this painting of Dona Nena Cayetano was stolen in 1970's and now sold to collector

Originally Jaro Belfry was attached to a church that was damaged by earthquakes twice. The belfry remained and instead of reconstructing the old church, they decided to build and new one in its current site. Campanile and Belfry might be appropriate but Ilonggos would like to retain the name of Jaro Belfry for historical importance
