Ha ha, I do the same thing sister.. I just hop on the bike and ride! I need to start checking too😮
Finally, a rider that can HONESTLY relate! Imma do better, you too!
lol this video has a lot of comments about our boy Mr. Franco lol all I can say is that Mr. Franco is one of the best mechanics out there! Hands down! Dude has done it all! Not too many honest and knowledgeable mechanics out there like him. Not a lot of mechanics will help you out when you’re in a bind. After multiple attempts trying to fix my transmission at multiple shops, Mr Franco pulled a junkyard transmission and installed it on my old 97 explorer. That car lasted me five years after which I later gave to my friend who used it just till the other day. Transmission was still going strong. This is just one example of what a great and knowledgeable mechanic he is. PS, you guys ever seen a car manual show how to convert an old 1950’s car into a boat? Sometimes the books don’t have all the answers. I’ve learned this from very creative and smart people like Mr Franco.
I appreciate your comments and you are 💯 right about Mr Franco indeed he is a Great Man in our time. Thanks 🙏🏿 for Watching 🫶🏿🏍️
Please read the owners manual for HD recommended pressures. The PSI on the side of the tire is just highest recommended pressure at cold tire temperature from the tire maker. You mentioned in prior video 36F and 40R which is what I run on my 2023 RG. Stay safe and sassy!
I do always read the manual and thanks for watching!
That being said what's on side of bike is for oem tires. Personally I don't like dunflops
Google tire wear indicators. I used to make tires. It's a DOT regulation all 🇺🇸 tires have them
Harley prob has more torque, less hp
My advise is don't go by the max tire pressure on the tire to air it up. Go by the pressure that is recommended in the owners manual. On the tire is what the tire can safely be inflated to not what is recommended for your bike. Take it to the bank.
OK, thank you for your feedback. I’ve been hearing some conflicting information on what to follow, the tire or the owners manual but I don’t have owners manual.
Great video regarding checking tire pressure. i check my tire pressure everytime before I ride. Good tire pressure privides a smoother ride and give you more wear on your tiire. Franco provided excellent information. Go H-D!!
g
That’s great practice. I’m learning to be a better rider myself. Thank you for watching & sharing!
Great lesson Man like Franco 😂
Thank Papi🫶🏿🖤 I’m glad you like it.
✌🏾 the bike sounds nice and healthy There’s a tire depth gauge that you put in between your treads to determine the tread depth.
Thanksss! Ok, I appreciate that tip!
@@HondaHarleyGurl welcome
More air in the front gives you less tire surface, go by the manual recommended PSI. I'm riding like 30f 40r. Buy a tire Guage from autozone or O'Reilly
Good to know and thank for the update 🫶🏿🏍️
Got it. Thank you!
If Mr. Franco says it, you know its true! Chyna no good meng! Great Video HondaHarleyGurl ❤🏍
Rickyyy! So true! Thank you for watching. Nomi Village soon 🎥
My Sister your guy gave you the wrong information
You should check your tires cold by your owners manual, never what's on the side of the tire.
You should check at least once a week
I enjoy your videos, safe journeys
Thank you for your feedback. and on the contrary, he says that you guys are wrong by going by the manual & that the manual is only for the factory tires but once you replaced them, follow the new tire PSI. I’m just sharing and learning. Thank you for enjoying my videos. I appreciate that.
I understand, but you need ToDo research on your own on this
Be safe
@@jakeharris2688 Thank you. I will do that.
Check tyre pressure every week
Oh really, I’m getting many conflicting answers. Thanks for the tip!
That tire gauge was good it had flowers on it. 🤪Also, make sure your PSI is 40 in the front. Check the manual to be sure. I have a 12 RK and mines is 36f 40r, just because it says that on the wheel does not mean that’s the proper PSI.
lol pretty but no good 🤦🏾♀️
He tripping tire should be changes every 5 years or if it's getting worn out. My man is out of it.
lol 😂 thanks 🙏🏿 for the information and you are welcome 🤗
Most products are made in China, stuff that you get from Harbor Freight is made in China. But, you should check your tire pressure before you ride with multiple gauges.
Thanks for the information , you are welcome 🤗
Nice video keep up the good work HondaHarleyGrul
Thank you for watching! Will do!
Tire pressure is not 41 that's the same as my street glide it should be 36 not 41. 41 is max
Really, thanks for sharing and you are welcome 🤗 also
Joined page.... Your mechanic talks a lot of shyt! But that's cool though. Careful about letting him ride in that Condition!!! Did you make a video about customizaton to this bike?
Thanks 😊 for watching.
Wow wow wow wow… u sure ur boy is doing u right lol. He said tire pressure cold is 40 PSI… Unless you are riding low speed where you need your steering to be extremely flexible you do not put 40 psi on a front tire. I repeat you do not put 40 PSI on a front tire.
Most bikes are around 33 PSI certified tire pressure. These are bikes with performance of 1000cc and more. Harley rating is at 36 PSI cold. Again 36 Front PSI cold. When you ride it it will increase to 40 PSI hot.
The rear should be at 40 PSI cold. When ridden it became 44 PSI hot. For your safety, visit a Harley Dealership and have them explain to you small things like these. And I stress for your safety because while you boy may save you some penny, a Harley Dealership will save you your life. Which is more important?
Also it would be wise to start group riding again because things like these your groupies got your back. And if they are Harley Riders, they will explain this to you the same as I. Why it’s best to do group riding when you are a novice. Because if something happen, it’s only your money and your insurance and you don’t pick up anything from bad habit.
Thanks for taking you taking your time to share this information i really appreciate it. Thanks for watching 🫶🏿🏍️
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
@@HondaHarleyGurl Anytime, in my 9 lives I’ve blown 3 tires successfully lol. And you must be a mad man to blow a tire because it sounded like a gunshot. Then the smoke came afterwards…
Oh it was successfully but not intentionally. One was just a bicycle tire that I keep pumping. The other time was an actual rear tire that exploded after I followed the manufacturer PSI rating. Lucky to be alive after the fact lmao. And the 3rd tire was a puncture. Also another rear. Lucky to be alive. When you blow a front tire you don’t live to tell the tail. Unless you are extremely well protected.
Yea I agree with you lol, not knocking her boy ., but he was completely wrong on the tire pressure.. but like you said visit a Harley shop and get some good knowledge on basic maintenance on your motorcycle..
@@infinite8686 Tire pressure, oil level specifically the transmission and the engine, shocks adjustment rebound…. Handlebar steering comfort adjustment, Headlight night visibility and type of fuel to use lol.
A good dealership will indeed explain this to any client if the client pays well and that will prevent a lot of accidents down the line. Just the explanations. She doesn’t actually have to do it. But she will know when the bike needs these type of service, if she can do it herself or if she has to take it back for them to do it for her.
U dont have 2 run max psi. I dont like max on front tire personally my commander 3's are max 42/42. I love 38.5/42 it give more road feel while not compromising tire life
I didn’t know this. Thanks for the feedback 🏍️🫶🏾
Just because a tire gauge is made in China doesn’t mean it’s not good. Do you realize how many different brands are made in China? Generally if you buy a cheap tire gauge be cautious no matter where it’s made.
So true. He was just talking crap! 🍻I got the new gauge that he recommended and guess what?! ..”made in China” 🇨🇳 😆
read your owners manual or look up the proper tire pressure. Bikers should know tire pressure before heading out.
Thanks for watching 🫶🏿🏍️
I can see the comments below, damn opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one, You won't ever win, just do your best to learn and then pick the best answer based on your own research. You could be talking about making over easy eggs and you'll see about 10 different people telling you which way is the best..lol at the end of the day, its just them trying to help you out, so it's harmless i guess.
Lol that’s exactly my mindset. just taking it all in and applying the best method for me. Thanks for sharing!
