If you are interested, reach out to your community center or parks and recreation department. Even if you are lucky enough to have a pool at your high school. They sometimes offer senior swim if there is enough interest. Or, get you some water wings or a suit with built in flotation device or even pool noodles to help float with if allowed and find a public pool and just go walking in the shallow end. Great low impact exercise for all ages. No swimming required. I can’t get my ears wet (even in the shower) nor am I a good swimmer because of that, but I still enjoy getting in the water and moving around. My complex has a pool and the 55+ neighboring building has access to it. The rookies and the 55+ group go early before the splashing, jumping kids get there. Most use water weights to work out with. Or pool noodles to help float with. It’s fun for all ages! Might make some friends to go have coffee with. I hope they are teaching them to float on their backs. And how to crawl along the edge of the pool. I see they are beginning to try and teach floating. Need to get their heads under water.
@@karenr.sternberg1920 yes I saw that. But they won’t lay back in the water to float. They need to learn floating. It is life saving for toddlers in case they’d happen to fall in. And then putting their heads under the water teaches them to hold their breaths.
@@dlwa256 Take a look at the video of the second lesson if you like. The instructors already practiced floating with them there. And you can see it in this video too, but it goes step by step and at a pace that is right for the girls. I'm sure the instructors know best how to teach them.
That is not their pool. Alicia made the comment the instructor is using the pool to give lessons in. She also said the only pool they have is a kiddie pool 😊 Beautiful place and the pool looks so refreshing
I’m pretty sure that Alicia and Walt wouldn’t just allow anyone to teach them. Ok so the instructor gets paid but I think it’s great they are using their pool for something worthwhile. Lucky ducks.
I suppose the goal is that they are not afraid to put their heads under water for a short moment and not about seeing toys under water with goggles. Actually the lessons teach them to stay afloat and not be afraid, if they accidentally fall into the water somewhere. The fun comes later! 🩷💜
JaM is correct. They need to get used to water on their face and practise opening their eyes. This helps reduce panic and improve orientation should they unexpectedly fall into water.
There is a variety of advice when it comes to goggles. Some say that under-3s shouldn't wear goggles. Some say toddlers should wear goggles some of the time but not all the time. The reason for not wearing goggles is so that children get used to what the water feels like on their face and to practise opening eyes underwater. This will help reduce panic and improve orientation should the child fall into water unexpectedly.
They are teaching them safety at this age. They are not going to be able to grab a pair of goggles if they start to fall in. They're trying to get them used to the water in their face.
I’m not sure the name of the classes, and I don’t want to step on toes, however there are lessons that should have these sweet girls prepared for water events and floating on their backs fully clothed to save their lives … way back in 1992 my little could jump in flip and float at 1yr old … she would swim underwater at 6mo old … maybe that’s not your goal and please accept my apology i just wish I was seeing real water safety for your babies
They are learning how to float and roll to a float. They will have lessons like you speak as well and we are leading up to it. We didn't start as early as most because it was hard for me to get 2 infants out of the house so we started swimming a little later and are taking a slightly different approach. ❤️❤️
@@aliciabarton3497 awww I totally understand we lived in Las Vegas at the time and had a pool in our backyard, although fenced it was a must … I’m getting old and not sure who knows what now a days and just thought I’d share … hopefully you don’t take offense… I definitely enjoy all the fabulous experiences you share with Anna and Guin !!! @BoiseGreatDane thankfully we don't have a pool (other than a kiddie pool) and we are only driving distance to swimable water. I'm just happy they are becoming comfortable with the water and I know the floating will come with a little time🤗💖💖
For this age this is the appropriate way to start. If you watch the very first video of them starting to swim this year you can definitely tell a difference.
These are certified instructors and they obviously know very well how to teach young children to move in the water without fear, because that is the first thing that matters.
Awe, Anna and Guin "Bubble Guppies." 🫧🫧🏊♀🏊🫧🫧 They look more and more confident with each lesson, not to mention they're having a blast while learning in the pool. You scored when you found these swim instructors, they're great. So many instructors push and hurry the kids to do this and do that, mostly coming from the parents, but your swim instructors appear to be in sync with Anna and Guin whilst accommodating the girls comfort zone. The methods that your instructors are using with your Bubble Guppies is paying off. It's obvious that Ana and Guin completely trust their instructors and will be soon swimming around like little polliwogs. 🫧🥰🥰🫧🥰🥰🫧
It’s wonderful to see the ladies so comfortable in the water. These teachers see very calm and comforting.

Does mom know how to swim?? Could you save your child if they were in trouble in the water??
I do know how to swim and was on the swim team growing up. I could absolutely save them both if they fell in or got in trouble in the water.
😊
@@aliciabarton3497 that's good, I'm proud of you.
You are awesome, and I thank you for sharing these videos.❤
Thats a big pool. Is that why you want them to learn how to swim since you have that big pool?
That is not their pool. Alicia made the comment the instructor is using the pool to give lessons in. She also said the only pool they have is a kiddie pool 😊 Beautiful place and the pool looks so refreshing
Who are those people teaching the girls to swim?
Alicia said in an earlier video that these are certified instructors.
Hardened criminals..

Really-? no need for snark. They just asked who they were. Family? Certified instructor?
I’m pretty sure that Alicia and Walt wouldn’t just allow anyone to teach them. Ok so the instructor gets paid but I think it’s great they are using their pool for something worthwhile. Lucky ducks.
Think the girls could retrieve things underwater better using goggles. But always good to learn swimming at a young age.

If you get them into goggles they will just jump in from the side
There is a variety of advice when it comes to goggles. Some say that under-3s shouldn't wear goggles. Some say toddlers should wear goggles some of the time but not all the time. The reason for not wearing goggles is so that children get used to what the water feels like on their face and to practise opening eyes underwater. This will help reduce panic and improve orientation should the child fall into water unexpectedly.
They are teaching them safety at this age. They are not going to be able to grab a pair of goggles if they start to fall in. They're trying to get them used to the water in their face.
@@Debbie25Brenham Exactly Debbie, well said! 👍💕🙋♀
@@JaM22113 Morning Jam, Hope you are doing well today. Another hot day here. Have a blessed day❤
I’m not sure the name of the classes, and I don’t want to step on toes, however there are lessons that should have these sweet girls prepared for water events and floating on their backs fully clothed to save their lives … way back in 1992 my little could jump in flip and float at 1yr old … she would swim underwater at 6mo old … maybe that’s not your goal and please accept my apology i just wish I was seeing real water safety for your babies
You really are the bestest mamma
@BoiseGreatDane thankfully we don't have a pool (other than a kiddie pool) and we are only driving distance to swimable water. I'm just happy they are becoming comfortable with the water and I know the floating will come with a little time🤗💖💖
Google's and they will be under with no problem
No goggles at this age
U need to find sumone to teach ur girls to swim cuz those are not
We don't see everything that happens in a lesson but from what I have seen, the activities are appropriate for their age and ability.
For this age this is the appropriate way to start. If you watch the very first video of them starting to swim this year you can definitely tell a difference.
These are certified instructors and they obviously know very well how to teach young children to move in the water without fear, because that is the first thing that matters.
Where's Anna 😭?
Ana is with the instructor with the large hat
Anastasia in the pink shirt is quite good to see. Guinevere was a bit far away at times, she weared the yellowish shirt.
That's Ana in the pink bathing suit, with the instructor wearing the hat.
