- 🔥Here is the full and longer version of how to alter the rim of this bowl and attach a smaller “dip” bowl creating a spiral effect.
⭐️ The original video is shorter but also includes the glazing technique. You can watch that video here:

Thank you for sharing your full process! Great job!
Aw you’re welcome and thank you!!!
Great video! Haven’t finished yet, of course! I hate how the ribs leave that little mark when you use them too! It’s sooo annoying yet I see some people do it and they don’t have that problem. I think they’ve used it soo many times that they know exactly hot to hold it. I’ve tried this with a slipcast bowl but by the time it’s set up enough to take out and not warp with too much pressure it’s too set up to do this too! I guess I’ll have to wait until I can throw.
Awww thank you so much!!! I just love you and your support!!! Interesting about the ribs but I guess a sponge always works after 😂 this particular rib is phenomenal for shaping on the wheel
Gorgeous love it ❤
@@libnipr369 thank you!!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing
@@libnipr369 you are so welcome!!!!
How old is this bowl? Like you made it one day and let it sit overnight to set up? Or you threw it and waited a few hours unwrapped? Thanks girl. MY GOSH I JUST LOOOVE the different glaze!! The blue and green are so beautiful. Just fyi. I heard yesterday that Amaco changed their formula of blue rutile and you have to apply 5 coats or it turns yellow!!! If you could do a video on your handles I would LOVE to know how you make them!
I just took that out like a month ago from the kiln! I did a video on it but someone asked me to upload the long version so that’s what this is lol. I threw that months ago and it dried for like a month before firing and glazing it 😂 omg good to know! I heard that about marigold too! Oh I have a video on handles already! If you go to the playlist called “all things pottery” it’s in there 😘 let me know if it helps you!
Oh sorry do you mean the handles on the bowl? I was thinking mugs 😂
@@thehappyhomesteadnh Oh girl I was so not clear in that. I was looking at the handles on your bowls and thought I’d love to know how you did that. Sorry.
@@thehappyhomesteadnh Sorry I wasn’t clear about this as well. I meant how dry or wet was the pieces when you were working on adding the little bowl. What stage would you say it was? I remember you getting them out of the kiln! They are soo gorgeous!!
About the Marigold so they re made it as well and now you have to do 5 coats? I feel like they are doing this on purpose so you have to use more!! They obviously know glaze chemistry and they can make it so you don’t need that much.
@@micheledickey4066 wow good point! I can live without marigold but blue rutile is my go to! Oooooo 😂 NOW I get it!! No worries!! So the bowl was a soft leather hard but the rim that I cut was more dry - more like a hard leather hard so I sprayed it down a bit.
This is gorgeous!! Do you sell these anywhere?
Awwww thank you!!! Not like publicly yet 😂 but I do have one left..you can email me at:

Awsome sis!
Thank you!!! I have a hard time with long videos but I actually enjoyed it because I felt like I didn’t have to rush
@@thehappyhomesteadnh you are doing great. Keep it up. ♥️
@@sylviefeys744 thank you 😘
How many pounds of clay was this bowl?
I used about 5 pounds!
