  • Every December, The Philip Larkin Society holds a commemorative event to mark the anniversary of Philip Larkin’s death on 2nd December 1985.
In 2024, this took the form of an online event for PLS members only, featuring a discussion of three videos based on the Larkin poems, ‘Here’, ‘Bridge For The Living’, and ‘This Be The Verse’ produced by the award winning Hull film maker Dave Lee in conjunction with Sir Tom Courtenay, a PLS Honorary Vice President.
The event was introduced by Professor Graham Chesters, Chair of The Philip Larkin Society.
