He lived to be nearly 80, and you say he died "much too young" because why? That is a very average age of decease for a male in a Western country. I agree that his death was a profound loss, but....he was an old man by every standard. He lived his life, left a profound legacy, and lives on in the memories of those who love him. Don't begrudge him his rest.
