- Trek's latest Top Fuel mountain bike sends out some real mixed messages but is ultimately a brilliant lightweight trail allrounder. TBH I wasn't sure how to get that across in a video but then I accidentally rode flat out for 40 minutes around my favourite blue to black grade seriously tech test trails without dabbing or stopping talking about how good it is. This is the full stream of consciousness, bloopers left in 'directors cut', but there's also a slightly shorter 28 minute edit if you're in a hurry. Just got a trek top fuel 6 xt found your review very helpfull the medium frame is a perfect fit for me tyers seem a bit sluggish on tarmac getting to the trail but are great when you get there i did try the shimano wheels and schwalbe tyres from my cube stereo 120r and the bike felt perfect in a class of its own
Yeah the stock tyres are pretty slow on smoother trails and road for sure. Always worth playing around with different options

How do you think the 130mm travel fork will affect the bike? Do you think it will make the bike better or worse?
I reckon a 130mm fork will work really well, but it will add a bit of weight
I have the 120 mm worried 130mm will being the handelbars closer towards
