Keep doing what you’re doing, Wastepipe of wisdom is the most trustworthy informative caravan channel we watch ! That’s probably why they didn’t let you join , you tell it like it is 😂

I don’t mind a bit of “intrigue “ in the title. However a lot go too far, agree with your particular example. They are leaders in the clickbait league 😅

Thanks for watching. I think there are many worse than the example I gave, and consistently worse 🥴

Might be of use Graham if you're so inclined 😊 I did an online Journalist course run by Glasgow University called a MOOC. Totally free and made writing enjoyable. I've been writing a quarterly 1000 word caravan article for a company for over a year now and absolutely love it. As for click bait, now i know why we have low views 🤣🤣🤣

Any channel saying “we start our day with AG1” is instantly unsubbed.

Tend to avoid the click bait videos on principle and have recently unsubscribed to quite a few channels as every other seems to be about a major disaster.... just waiting for one about a broken fingernail opening a can of beer. I also have started to drop watching anyone that adds in an 'infomercial" in their vid.... AG1, VPN's etc..... just waiting for the UK crowed to start advertising new bed mattresses as seems to be a growing trend in US channels. I don't mind the odd plug if a channel has reviewed a product.... unless it is the wonder box with a battery that can power the whole van for three weeks without recharging. (I get a fåir few emails asking for help from people that have bought these and have had issues though) Similar thing has also happened to me about joining up with an organised group of people..... I would not join any group that would have me as a member though. I was also approached about becoming the 'Agony Aunt' for all things technical..... turned that down as the recompense was "Oh we can't pay anything but It would be good for your blog" but in the small print I could not use any links to my blog or mention it. Keep doing what you are doing and you got me as a subscriber Graham. On another note.... chemo is going well so we are planning our first trip away next week... got to get some practice in honing our skills ready for tourfest north west! Cheers, Simon

Hi Simon, firstly, I'm glad the treatment is going well, that's really good to hear. Now onto the less important caravan stuff..
My head is about to explode regarding clickbait and the mentioning of product sponsors such as VPNs etc. I have such conflicting views on it all. I can understand why people do it, just look at the viewing figures and it's obvious it works, then look at the comments and most people don't really mind.
When I launched the paid-for community, I had what seemed like a massive backlash on my FB group. I had people messaging me saying "Not going ahead with that then?" My confidence in the idea took a battering I have to say. But then, I reminded myself, it really isn't for everyone. However, I believe in the idea and in my head, it's better to offer something and get payment, rather than someone just "buy me a coffee" for doing what I like doing anyway. I only need 1% of my audience to think it's a good idea to make it worthwhile, so in that way, numbers aren't important.
In my head, this way I won't need to take on silly product reviews or advertise a random product. I did once get a mattress topper from Duvaley, man that's a hard thing to do a review on :-)
I think it's all about integrity, I don't mean trying to convince people I'm honest and have integrity, but for my own peace of mind. Also, I mean integrity with subscribers and viewers, not with the "industry", I'm certainly not here for their benefit.

Were you actually peddling that bike ... Be honest 🤔😂😂

Thanks for watching. I know, I made it look easy, didn't I? Yes, I 100% was pedalling*, I'm under doctor's orders lol
      * I might have had the assistance level higher than I should have. However, it's a flipping heavy bike and pedalling unassisted is virtually impossible!
