Everything he said is true but personally, i think some of these songs gives us Christian songs to vibe to at our celebrations instead of circular songs.. the Gospel music sector is balanced.. when u want to uplift ur spirit, u know d songs to listen to and when u want something to dance and vibe to, in ur car, ur room or at ur occasion, u know wat to listen to..
Christians were the ones complaining that our songs are not danceable to and that's why they play circular songs at weddings, birthday parties and other occasions

I think we have been in the "world" to the point where we want to experience the same temporary happiness the world gave us while in Christ. That's why it is written that, "we need renewal of our minds".
Imagine wanting the same feelings a nightclub life gives someone when they come to Christ.

Christian entertainment is not bad. Lets not polarise God. I am not a fan of moses bliss. I don't even listen to his music. But when i want to dance maybe for a Christian occasion, i rather dance to moses bliss songs than to a wordly musician. Lets not kill talent in the body of Christ. It is unfair. Its just like saying Christian lawyers should only Go to Christian courts or Christian bankers should only work in Christian banks. Or Christian doctors should only work in Christian hospitals. Not everyone is called to be Theophilus sunday or dunsin oyekan. Singing is a profession just like any other profession, and as long as they are not sinning let them sing. We ahve Christians that act nollywood and Hollywood movies, dies that mean they are not glorifing God. Paul said what so ever you do, do as unto the lord. Personally i love a gospel afro beat singer called "korale". I love afro beats and it feels good to listen to afro beat and praise God. Abeg allow people to florish in their God given talent..

Finally someone with actual understanding!Your comment should be framed!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a Christian entertainer.
Who says Christians cannot be entertained?
It's even double advantage because your spirit is being edified and entertained, unlike worldly songs that would corrupt one's spirit and even lead to perversion.
Believers and Christians talk like we're in heaven already and so they should have no feelings, or needs or responsibilities to themselves but only to God.
We're still on earth and as long as we are, we will continue to be influenced by mainstream culture, media , food, movies, social media content, etc
If Christian's don't rise up to saturate these fields and industries,( the ones we usually tag secular) then we are not even doing Jesus proud at all because he gave us the instruction to be the Light of the world not just the church.

I put a song "just a prayer away" by Jaci Valesque on repeat mode on the 19th of December, 2017. On the sixth time, i heard the audible voice of the Holy Spirit saying,"Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you know not" Jer. 33:3.
I was shocked. The next day at Church the same verse came up again. I later took advantage of it and experience God's favor.
My point: NEVER,EVER THINK THAT GOD WILL USE THE SAME METHOD HE USED FOR YOU FOR OTHERS. If not, the believers under you will not grow. We were praying in Church one day and i paused and asked The Holy Spirit for clarification and i got a sweet answer. I will be 20 years in the Faith and the first scripture God ever spoke to me was Prov. 23:26. I am still learning.

All these our christian leaders keep pushing souls and talents into the hands of the devil, souls that God created with beautiful talents waiting for them to show forth his glory alone. Devil never created anything he only steals and hijack what God has created and corrupts it. I guess Kanye West was a go go for you just a few years down the line.
If you don't mind me asking..how many souls do you know that have been pushed into the hands of the devil by these do called Christian leaders? It would be nice to provide an empirical evidence to support that claim. Have you ever read this scripture before? "And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day. 40 For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6.39-40. Can you explain to me, why you think Jesus is sp weak that the devil will be able to snatch anyone from his hands? That's not the Jesus, who is seated at tve right hand of the Father. That must be another Jesus. God is not emotional and He won't pander to our emotions. Heb 11.6.
Believers (supposedly) are busy playing the devil's game by slandering and watering down the truth of the word of God. God is Holy and His standards remain unchanged. Anyone fighting the truth of the word of God is only aligning with Satan to fight against God. 2 Cor.4:4

Anyone that reads this comment and still doesn't understand that Christian music is now getting similar in sound and can now be mixed to blend with music that their inspiration didn't come from heaven simply shows how unspiritual things have easily crept into the church of God. By the time you can dance those club dances to blend with a Christian song just know this: inspiration of music from heaven will never be equal, feel, similar or make you move your body like music inspiration from hell.

We were called to preach the scriptures of which the gospel is part and the scriptures are literally littered with encounters.
Certainly, not all encounters are meant for the pulpit but they certainly do have a role. They can be regarded as part of what is called the witness or the testimony of Christ:
      1 John 1:1

A lot of good things to learn from this message.
Also, the Bible is littered with encounters that some people do not understand. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego for instance, as far as Gid is glorified, it's good for edification.
There's nothing wrong with e de work by Samsong or e de flow by Moses Bliss (if those were the songs he was referring to). They are great Psalms of God's goodness.
Lastly about Maverick City, let's not be quick to condemn, Daniel was in Babylon, in the midst of ungodly sacrifices and rituals, but we didn't see him openly condemning their gods, wisdom is profitable to direct.
He served God with boldness and they knew God was the true powerful God. We have to be led before we confront, let's not get too used to God and think he uses one method everytime, the goal is to win souls, but that doesn't happen by direct confrontation everytime.
Brandon Lake preached about Jesus during the ceremony, and Maverick City obviously talked about righteousness and reaching for lost souls, let's not be quick to condemn because they didn't directly confront the unpleasant show.
I'm not saying they shouldn't or what they did is right, all I'm saying is let's encourage our brothers and sisters to do more and better, instead of tearing them down.
NB: Everybody is not at the same level of spiritual maturity, We are growing. Selah

      My simple reply is from
      Rom 14:1-6.
You that are strong in faith should not despise those who are weak in faith. Jesus saves he also healed and delivered and ppl testified about it. Are you saying God does not provide anymore?? Please read about the the blessings that were mentioned if the children of Israel obeyed and stayed with God in Deut 28. Yes unbelievers also have these things but we believers believe and know ours came from God. Will it be wrong for us/ the ppl of Israel to rejoice when those blessings come? How can it not be a testimony?
Surely the message shouldn't always be material focused but that doesn't mean material blessings should also be written off.
If we are honest to ourselves, most of us started seeking God or were initially drawn to him because we were in need of some form of financial or material help. It is as we kept growing in spirit that we began to realize that there is more to being a Christian than just receiving material blessings. So this may not be the what you're looking for but it's is also a testimony
So I don't see anything wrong with a song like that . I haven't really heard it. Maybe it's the way in which it is done. I don't know.
But I personally believe these non serious gospel songs sometimes provide a great substitute for those who are still attached to worldly songs and struggle to abandon them. Most of the do called proper gospel songs that we sing have similar lyrics. The main difference is that Moses' songs especially his instrumentals sound more like the worldly ones. But there's not much difference " promotion double double" is it not material blessings??
They are not meant to be sung in church like the regular praise and worship. They are used to have some clean Goldy fun so you don't find yourself acting or being sinful in anyway ( Especially knowing that some of these worldly songs actually have demonic portals)So long as they are not blaspheming or saying anything contrary to any basic Christian beliefs/ doctrines.
Ebi only you wey wan carry Moses blis song go sing for church o. ( Personally I find most of them too playful to be taken seriously or sung in church for eg)
You guys should just let some things be.
Not every imperfection requires criticism. Sometimes it's okay to just caution but not always criticizing.
I really respect this man of God and of course what he is saying should be taken as a caution though.

While I respect the perspectives of Rev. Esieri, it's important to recognize the diversity of artistic expression, including contemporary Christian music. Artists like Moses Bliss, Prinx Emmanuel, etc often utilize modern language and cultural references to connect with younger audiences.
The song 'E Dey Flow' is a prime example of this approach. While the lyrics and style may not resonate with all listeners, particularly those from older generations, the song's message remains undeniably Christian. Moses Bliss uses relatable language and cultural references to convey a powerful message of God's grace and blessings.
The Grammy Awards celebrate excellence in music across various genres, including Christian music. Nominating and recognizing Christian artists is a way to acknowledge their talent, creativity, and the significant influence they have on their audiences. So there is nothing wrong if Mavick City guys attend grammy ceremony. Grammy is not evil! papa should try and be doing more research abeg

To me what this Man of God does is not wrong o, just that it's all too deep to understand and so believers who haven't gone that deep in consecration and Godliness, and so tend to misunderstand or rather take it literally.
As it is written; so I guess He is casting pearls to swines

The song e dey flow doesn't glorify God
God is mentioned in a song doesn't mean it's powered by God
Moses bliss has drifted from the right path
When God raise you and you raise yourself too much He brings the man down
A believer is one that can discern all things
    Many believers have lost discernment
God is ready for anyone but are men willing
    E dey flow
The song is of the flesh God is no longer involved
    Go deeper
You may criticize this comment but goo deeper seek God beyond where you are now

There are different genres of music, let’s always have that in mind, even the makossa genre we use during praise and worship is Congolese and awilo was a popular makossa singer yet that’s a style we use in the church today so are we all going to hell???

    • @kingdomupdatestv
      @kingdomupdatestv  หลายเดือนก่อน

Does that mean that every secular trend should be brought into the church?

    • @speedcutt
      @speedcutt หลายเดือนก่อน

@@kingdomupdatestv no it doesn’t mean so …. I’m only saying there are different genres of music and for Christians to go into the world multiply and be fruitful musically we can’t focus on one genre of music and let the devil win the hearts of men through the other genres….. if that was the case people would have still been dancing to awilo makossa songs but the gospel music ministry has conquered that genre for Christ, so why can’t God use these minister to conquer Afrobeat for himself???
If u don’t agree then we shouldn’t sing makossa songs in church anymore let’s just come and after opening prayers we chant our way till the sermon and after that we chant our way to the offering and after that closing prayers …. Or let’s not even sing gospel songs in our local dialect and beats becus they belong to the original gods of the land that we worshiped before we became believers …. Right???

So plz let's stop judging that's God's work not for men ,

Thats how kirk franklin amd sone gospel artists took rap music from artists on the other side and it crept into the church because the lyrics wasnt erotic. Now we are where we are now and these songs that the inspiration didnt come from heaven will bring the club dance steps into the church. So many people begin to dance like they're in the club whilst in church without realising it. Thats why the church is more material than spiritual nowadays.

What is it with you people! Bitterness won't finish some clergy o. What's wrong with the songs in question? Proclaiming that the word of God is working is an affirmation of truth... Declaring that oil is flowing on your head is a confession that draws faith and proof to God's doings...
