Was it cheated? Sounded more like he said when he first confessed to his now wife, she rejected him. They were not dating that day when he met her sister, was feeling sad, got drunk, banged the sister. Later he got together with the current wife. What he did wrong was hide the fact the child was his. I mean his wife knew her sister had a kid for these 20 years. But the husband and sister lied about who the father was. There was no cheating.
@kenmolinaro There is a thing called Informed consent. Hiding facts that might have affected the "consent" is a legal reason for divorce and may be considered a marriage fraud in common law countries at least. It includes hiding a previous relationship and existence of child. Any consent obtained by omitting relevant information, or lying about it, is negated.

I’m conflicted. It was a one-time thing that happened when his then-girlfriend apparently broke up with him or maybe refused to date him…the translation said “rejected me.” He got drunk, the sister found him and confessed her feelings, they drank some more… On the one hand, he should have told her the truth. Pretty big secret that he hooked up with her sister, regardless when it happened. On the other hand, he didn’t know the kid was his and seems to have been a faithful husband otherwise.
