New player here. I've been having best success with Treant. Running through trees helps me not get punished for being out of position and his abilities are very straightforward. He is also very tanky. I just feed with pretty much any other hero i've played.
Juggernaut and Lycanthrope are ones of the worst characters for noobs. Jug can do a lot of things, but he's not great at anything. It's a hero that requires you to know what way exactly you want to play. You've got to know how to push your limits on the map using your timings and map awareness or the hero just falls off. Not to mention that ward requires micro, and jugs damage is harder to deal and one has to know what to focus. Lycan even without his wolves is playing around his ult, his skills look easy to use, but his problem is macro and coordination with team. In a teamfight Lycan plays different from classic offlaners, he's not very tanky and doesn't have a stun. He's more like flanking cavalry disrupting positioning of enemies which is not a noob thing to do. I don't intend to offend anyone, but noobs have little to zero positioning to begin with and hit the closest thing they see. If you're noob it's better to take something tanky and annoying, people will just waste their damage on you and loose their position even more while you buy simple auras and tank items on something like Centaur, Bristleback or Axe.
@@Witafrikanerboerseun visage works in the offlane as well , but Lycan right now is a much better hero and does more damage , but it all depends on playstyle
@@Dotachronicles having big success with Lycan pos 3. 3/3 and basically free t1 and t2 towers early in the game with facet 2. What a beast of a hero. then just hunt down the pos 1 constantly. thanks for the good advice.

Treant Protector is a great choice for new players, very versatile and forgiving.
