I did a career change in my life, and it was worth it. I was a machinist for over twenty years, my folks treated us as slaves. Went to work at a very young age, didn't like my family and left. Continued with my occupation, but manufacturing went away in the US. I learned how to rebuild automotive automatic transmissions on my own. What culture shock! I was successful at that, and I did it on my own. Now I want to move to Japan just to eat good food! See you next week and thanks for the unscripted video.😸😻
An “EXCEPTIONAL” video as usual, Akane! Firstly, “CONGRATULATIONS” on your decision to change jobs eight years ago and do the job you love and are passionate about! Secondly, it is great that you took the initiative to change careers and not listen to the negative comments of your fellow coworkers who thought it would not be a good idea to change career due to your age etc. Even in the U.K, many people would react in the same way by deterring people from changing jobs and careers. I left my job as a Mechanical Assistant this year which I did for eight years to care for my mum. In the U.K, it is very normal to change jobs and I think that the majority of people do it these days. Don’t worry, Akane, you look very young and you seem very energetic! My biggest regret is that I did not get to study at my favourite University in Japan, the “Tokyo Institute of Technology”, if things could be different, I would have love to study a subject like Mechanical Engineering or Earth & Planetary Science here again! Don’t worry, Akane, your language skills have been perfect and you have not repeated anything. Have a good evening.
