So I have seen posters and church hold speaking in tongue class, where people are taught to speak in tongues.. my question is, Is speaking in tongues teachable by humans? And what's your take on it?
Question 2: at what point do you draw the line between fake speaking in tongues and God given speaking in tongues?

      1. Thank you for your question, Rita. The answer is absolute NO! Every spiritual gift is given by the Holy Spirit who inspires and influences us to function and manifest in them. This includes the gift of speaking in tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:11 (NLT) reads “It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.”
‭‭Teaching people to speak in tongues is outright demonic and against biblical teachings and doctrines.
The aspects where we see human intervention in the receiving of spiritual gifts in the bible are either through prayers or the laying on of hands. (See Acts 8:17 & Acts 19:5-6)
The doctrine of laying on of hands doesn’t justify or validate that spiritual gifts are given by men. It is true that through the laying on of hands, the gifts of God are sometimes stirred up in people and could cause a Christian to come alive and receive activation of the gift already bestowed by God.
      2. To your second question, the reality is that it is between God and the person who is faking speaking in tongues. God knows this and the person does too and it is a precarious situation for the church; as this may be considered judging or attacking the expression of a gift if called out. The gift of speaking of tongues is a difficult one to criticise because it is an unknown language and we utter mysteries only understood by God, however, the bible encourages us to judge all spirits. I John‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ reads“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,”
      ‭‭
The church can draw the line when it is clear that the act of the individual is causing others to fall and disseminating defilement in the body of Christ.
I hope this answers your questions 😊
