New World Symphony Finale

The MetWinds is an all-volunteer community band specializing in high quality wind literature since 1971.
This is the premiere performance of this new wind transcription by Buckley. He describes it as an attempt to capture the lightness and transparency of the original orchestral work by remaining as true as possible to the orchestral scoring and by avoiding unnecessary doubling in the wind band scoring.

Not a bad transcription but the 1st clarinet parts in places are clumsy at best and ill-suited to the rest of the texture and simply serve as distraction. Perhaps if the blend and balance were better in this performance that might improve?
