Just discovered your channel. Wow! Instant fan. Thanks for what you do. Such down to earth fun folks. Keep living the dream. Stay healthy, happy and blessed
Another fantastic video! We are trying so many new places to eat because of your great videos! Keep up the good work! We've never seen the area Chamber's of Commerce-put out any info as nice & detailed as you two do! No idea why they don't, it would bring in so much business for the out of the way places! Thank you Will & Dawn for all you do! It's so appreciated, by so many!
Great video Will, Dawn and SmokyMountainHiker. Delauder’s looked awesome. The nachos looked good. SmokyMountainHiker’s pork platter look great. And Will’s rib and pulled pork looked good, too. The mac and cheese looked so good. Glad it’s almost lunch for me, lol. The hike through the Smokies was quaint. Quiet and peaceful. Just like the Smokies are wherever you go. The steam engine was cool. The trees and flowers were gorgeous. Will and Dawn, you have done it again. Fantastic video. 🙂😉🌳🌲
That BBQ looked good and, reasonable priced. You needed that for the hike into the woods. They made stuff to last made in the U.S.. Not the cheap cramp we have made in China or wherever today. I'm glad had fun out there.
Great VLOG!!! My husband, my son and a couple of friends of ours will be visiting Gatlinburg 1st week of November. Looking forward to checking out some of the recent places you both have been to. There's so many more trails and places to visit that we want to see this time around. My husband and I love watching all your vlogs. Thanks you for sharing your adventures.
There is a Greenbriar schoolhouse beautifuly preserved but what was very touching is a well-kept small cemetery in front of the school house. All of the graves appear to be of children five years old or younger with headstones of little lambs or poignant sweet verses. Very touching.
Another 👍 to you Will & Dawn, i have been waiting for you to try Delauder's BBQ as i have read numerous great reviews. We will be in the Smokies on Oct 18-23 and plan on trying it .. those ribs and pulled pork looked amazing. Great hike you went on as well, wonderful vlog .. blessings to you guys and thanks so much for sharing
This was a real enjoyable video. I'm glad you brought William along. I was just thinking that old steam engine from Michigan made its way to the Smoky Mountains just like Will & Dawn made their way from Michigan. Many years later of course.
Great video! That was so cool. I'd have never guessed something like that engine would be in the Smoky Mountains. It's hard to believe it was in such good shape. Love your videos!
The food looked really good and that was a great price for three people. I enjoyed the hike and seeing the old engine, very unusual find. That was a great loss to the farmer.
Big BBq and a 5 mile hike wow! 😂 A trail with a great story and remnants of long ago love it! Hey just a thought visiting old cemetarys could be interesting 😁 Thanks Will and Dawn! Hello William!😊👍
Looking forward to trying Delauder's next month. My wife's maiden name is DeLaughter and that is close enough to make this an interesting stop. Thanks for the video!
Thank yall for another great video. The food looked yummy and the hike was nice...the only thing that would have made it better would have been a cool breeze...thank yall again.
Those tennessee mountains are so beautiful and the food looked really good but Dawn hicking the trails she didn't look like she felt to good. As always great adventures guys👍👍👍
Glad that you reviewed a "hole in the wall". We love gatlinburg but usually stick to the known places to avoid disappointment but will definitely go to delauders now. Thanks guys
Awesome review friends bbq looked amazing super cool steam train absolutely spectacular Smoky Mountains scenery sledgehammered that like button shared this out and a enjoyed watch
Will, could you answer a question for me please. Are there two Delauder's BBQ in Gatlinburg? When I look it up it shows two different buildings, the one y'all were in and then another pictures shows a small white building. Is 231 and the Parkway the same place? I would like to try this place when I come up there.
I'd love to see you guys try Preacher's Smokehouse on Pittman Center Rd. It has lots of good reviews on Yelp but it's so much of a hole in the wall that we were kind of hesitant to try it on our last trip. We'd love to know what you guys think.
Will and Dawn, love your videos and reviews. Have you ever tried out the Greenbriar steakhouse in Gatinburg. As you come into town take that Sharp left turn out in 321 and 73. It's only about 5 minutes out, road goes off to the right and then up near the top. Great old school eatery. Would live to see your review. A lot of locals know the place.
I saw a lot of wood outside of Delauder’s barbecue. That was a good sign and Dawn, I know what a floating leaf means - there are spiders and a web about! AGH!
Great video, you two do a really good job and I enjoy your videos It is really nice when you go to an "off the beaten path" spot like Delauder's. How about checking out Lil' Black Bear Restaurant on Veteran's Pkwy and many of the highly rated restaurants on trip advisor, etc. Thanks
Regarding the traction engine - perhaps this was old logging equipment abandoned in place? Perhaps a logging mule? Please remember the history of the park area - it was a logging wasteland, played out, and "foisted" onto the government. (Turns out out to have been a good thing, in my book, and an example of ecosystem recovery).
I loved Delauder's and by review it is the hidden gem, but there is one more hidden gem I did not get the chance to go to and if you can and post a review for me let me know. Preachers Smokehouse. He is only Open I believe in Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It is a preacher who runs it. Another hole in the wall. It is also supposed to be amazing and very reasonable. I am coming back down next year and will not miss going there and back to Delauders. I also missed Greenbriar and plan to make it there. I made the mistake of too much city time and not enough park time. Post me some videos of the hidden gems. Pleaseeeeee. I want to do a trip of the Blue Ridge Parkway and roads off of it and what I can find traveling up into the park from it. Cataloochee area and maybe all the way to Asheville. Enjoy your videos. Less city time and more hidden gems please. Thank you. Get to preachers smokehouse and let me know what you think. It is like 7 to 10 minutes from Delauders

Learn how to do a food review. I keep watching hoping to catch one. But you never really talk about the food...
