My partner back in 1985 wrote a fan letter to June Brown (Dot Cotton), that letter turned into June becoming my partner's best friend, a friendship that lasted for 37 years until June passed onto the other vibration in 2022.

      @UnusualThings1  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

That’s amazing to hear, and so good of June to write and stay in touch with your partner.
I was looking into Junes but I believe she was cremated. 🙏

@@UnusualThings1My partner and June had great love and respect for each other, they always phoned each other, or writing to each other, or June would come and stay, or we would see her, June always gave good sound and very wise advice, she had no side to her what you saw is what you got, she was beautiful outwardly and inwardly. I think it doesn't happen very often (someone writing to someone on TV and they become best friends,) but my partner and June just got on, after their very first meet, my partner and June just hit it off and became best friends, if June had lived another 3 years, they would have known each other for 40 years.

A lovely tribute video to David. He always reminds me a bit of Nick Kamen. David had so much potential extinguished so early in life and his career. He should've been given his privacy. Sadly, it's just gotten worse since his passing with the introduction of social media on top of the tabloid press. Rest In Peace, David 😞

You are without a doubt my favourite TH-camr for this sort of content. The music you choose is just so fitting and nicely in the background, the tone in your voice and the wording you use, honestly you couldn’t be any more sympathetic and kind to the subject you talk about. Thank you for all the work you put in to your channel and I hope more people get to see your videos, your a wonderful person and knowing you would make anyones life more valuable. xx

Hi Paul. Thanks again for another great respectful tribute to David. Gone way too young. Never liked EastEnders and they obviously didn't care about their employees back then and as for the press, just hateful bastard's. I just hope things like this wouldn't happen today. Keep up the good work 👍

Bless him. So young. 🥺 He was a handsome boy and could have easily become a model as you said. I was 20 when I got married. It was the start of my adulthood, devastating this lads life ended just as mine was beginning.
I love visiting churches and graveyards myself. On the rare occasions when I have come across a church that’s unlocked, oddly enough I can’t go in if I find the door is unlocked. I did watch the soaps back in the day, but I find them too depressing.
My friend went on to own Betty the little dog in Eastenders that was Wendy Richards dog. Betty was retired from the soap, Wendy wanted to own Betty but had been diagnosed with cancer. So my friend had Betty. A smart dog that appeared in a few tv shows. She even learned to ride a skateboard.

This is such a sad story. So reminiscent of Princess Diana and, as you mentioned, lovely Carollne Flack. The press is relentless, and the News Of The World was the worst of the lot. Thank you for visiting people who are largely forgotten, as well as the celebrities we love.

Hi Paul, Thank you for making this video. I have driven past this church so many times as I lived locally in Edenbridge. I had no idea David is buried here. The English Press are absolutely disgusting and we need laws to stop their disgusting behaviour. RIP David. ✝️

That was a tear jerker 😢, poor lad..he was beautiful.. the press should be held accountable even back then, it was disgusting and still is disgusting how they hound people to death, I couldn't cope with it either.. so many things could have been done to help him see a way forward, press leaving him alone and better mental health support.. trouble is when you're that low you can only see one way out, unfortunately it's difficult to see a way forward when you're full of negativity and pain and confusion. News of the World and all you other hounders, shame on you. He was a young lad and you weren't empathic or mature enough to leave him alone..thank you for remembering him to us Paul. ❤ I hope you're at peace David, God bless you ❤xxx

Beautiful and sensitive video Paul. I used to watch Eastenders way back in the early years but don’t watch any soaps now. I had no idea he suffered so much. There’s such a lack of compassion by the press and lack of support for MH especially, when it’s clear someone is struggling. So sad for his life to end so suddenly. RIP David.

Although I don't watch soaps this was a great tribute.
I cut grass and maintained graveyards for nearly 20 years, it was the best job I had. Churchyards are quiet solemn places and not scary even at night.
I actively look through headstones for general folk who have a claim to fame (or notoriety) than famous people.
I actually find the history of the churches more interesting TBH.
My local church dates back to 1150, but just a few miles away we have a few Saxon churches............ History is amazing at times👍

I guessed from the thumbnail who this was going to be. I did used to watch EastEnders but only in the 90s and 2000s. I thought for years that Todd Carty was the only actor to play Mark and it was only a lot later on that I learned that David Scarboro had played him first and what happened to the poor guy. Absolutely tragic.

I lost my youngest son of 21 to suicide 4 yrs ago. He was missing for over 2 weeks before his body was found. Another lovely graveyard. Some are truly beautiful. I used to watch EastEnders when it first started. Haven't watched it for years. I remember this. Poor young man. Unfortunately in my experience with people I have known that have ended their lives, with all the therapy, talking, treatment and love if they are determined nothing on earth will stop them. It's awful they feel that way in the first place. In some cases hounded till they do it earlier. Thank you Paul.

The Church in Tatsfield dates from around 1075. A Domesday reference mentions Tatsfield Manor as “held by Anschitell de Ros of Bishop Odo of Bayeux” (half brother to William the Conqueror) in 1068, and it is believed the nave was built about this time.

Seems to me the media then as today add oil to the fire and gleefully enjoy reporting on peoples issues and downfalls. Look how they hounded poor Amy Winehouse. They enjoyed every moment of that, gutter press.

These again mate. Very sad story yet again. As for churches we have here in Essex the oldest continuously used church called st peters on the wall at Bradwell on sea not far from South minster. I've been in there many times and it's usually open from early til later. Take care and all the best mate 👍

Hi Paul, such a talent gone too soon. Should have gotten the help needed. Such a tragedy that should never have happened. Hope he now has found peace and can Rest in Eternal Peace 😢

So sad! This poor young man! I remember him but only from reruns of Classic Eastenders as I was only young when he died. I hate it when the media forget that, although some people choose careers that put them in the public eye, they're still people with feelings. It's worse now with social media and it's just so sad that this happens 😞. Thanks Paul, respectful as always 🙏🏻 xx
