I disagree, slightly. I think he's the one who refuses to realize the relationship is over ("when you say it's dead and gone, yeah I know you're wrong"), while the woman claims they're done. I believe the falsetto parts are actually what the woman says ("ain't gonna spend another night in your bed"). I agree with the "can't call it leaving cause it's just .. i never came" explanation but again it's from the woman's point of view.
