Excellent Ana. 👏I hope they give you clarification. I have friends with kids with EHCP’s in state primary schools and they seem constantly stressed out. Tribunals, reviews and constant forms to fill in! This on top of the daily challenges with their children must be a complete nightmare! 😢I read an article about kids in Worcestershire with mild SEN in Specialist schools being encouraged back to mainstream state schools. Surely if they have been put in a specialist school in the first place their needs are unlikely to be met in mainstream schools. Independent schools are often smaller with strong pastoral care so many thrive. I really don’t think LA’s and schools need this added pressure if they are forced to leave due to lack of finances. What a mess!! 🤯
The DoE means EHCP not SEND as that would make the policy hard to justify. But who cares, just buy a house in a an expensive ghetto where your child has the benefits without you having to pay as it's your "rights",
