- Accentus Music - New on DVD and Blu-ray - Available worldwide in September/October 2015 - Adam’s Passion is the moving first collaboration between two “masters of slow motion who harmonize perfectly with each other” (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung). In the spectacular setting of a former submarine factory, American director and universal artist Robert Wilson creates a poetic visual world in which the mystical musical language of the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt can cast its meditative spell. Three of Pärt’s major works - Adam’s Lament, Tabula rasa, and Miserere, as well as Sequentia, a new work composed especially for this production - are brought together here using light, space, and movement to create a tightly-woven Gesamtkunstwerk in which the artistic visions of these two great artists mirror each other.

The music by Pärt is transcendent and some of the most important of the 20th C. The staging is... a bizarre and bewildering incoherent collection of stylized movements that seem to trick the audience into believing that they may hold deep symbolic meaning. In the end you can either look at a naked guy with a stick on his head, or close your eyes and dream of Eternity, your choice. Perhaps I don't get it and the joke is on me. If so, please forgive me.
ROBERT WILSON'S DESIGN AND PRODUCTIONS HAVE NO EQUAL
at 3:12 is very it happens !!!

Um what.. that seemed like a mess! Currently researching this Wilson guy for class .. And I gotta say, There is a distinction between art and just a total mess. Real art is the Order in Chaos and the Chaos in order thats is Chaos. Chaos on its own is just Chaos! Seems here hes trying to make a connection to order but I think his own personal chaos is making it difficult for him to connect 100% with true-to-reality balance between order and chaos. From first impression this video seems like a complete mess to me!
No. That's chaos induced by a lack of information. If Wilson is ignored and the classics, i.e. the roots of Western culture are examined closer, then Wilson himself becomes easier to understand.
