I now understand, when you were speaking of circumcision in the first part, I was thinking, do I need to get circumcised, or be cut off from God's people? When Paul says in Galatians 5;2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. When I got re-baptized into Christ, I became circumcised to my flesh, in truth I became dead to things of the flesh, like drinking beer, lust etc. And became alive to God. I am now of God's Kingdom and no longer of this world. Baptism, and to understand what baptism is, is such an important part of being born again. Thank you, makes so much sense.

In a sense, it is also like removing a piece of your fleshly life in order to be closer to God, in order to be closer spiritually to who that is holy.

Amen! This is so amazing. So if Jesus has all authority in heaven and earth and God has all authority in heaven and earth and there is only ONE God. What is His name? Exactly! That is why baptism is done in the name of Jesus. Beautiful teaching…Beautiful revelation. The God of the Old Testament is the Jesus of the new. Every book in the Old testament points to Jesus. That is why we need the whole Bible…the Old Testament is a type and foreshadow of the New. Beautiful amazing baptisms. Thank you for these studies..thank you for sharing!

1Co 15:27 For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.
1Co 15:28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

I like how you make people disciples
and you hand it over to them
    its not a "torben thing"
    its a Holy Spirit thing
and a body of Christ thing
and when you make disciples, now there isn't just one going out (torben), there are ten, twenty, a hundred, ten thousand.......
and the gates of hell cannot stand against us
each of us has a unique gifting from the Holy Spirit
    many gifts, one body
    many members, one body
and Christ is in all, all being built up into Him
    for His glory
and of His Kingdom, the increase will have no end
    amen!

Dear Brother Torben, I cannot go off to sleep until I confess to you that I wrote comments on the last video in this series, but the one to you was a question, not necessarily a request for you to look at a person's teaching. I confess this as sin, that I was seeking to hear from you rather than taking your teaching in and acting upon it. Please forgive me. I want very much to be a part of The Last Reformation movement in the UK, but I live so far away from other people, and also, my wife is not on board with it. I have made attempts to go and make disciples by seeking out a person of peace, offering to pray for the sick, and, if possible, to cast out demons. However, I haven't had much success!!! Please pray that I have success and see the power and authority of the Holy Spirit work through me! I also struggle with my health, which sometimes incapacitate me. I praise God for all he's doing through this ministry!!!🙌👏🙋‍♂️

I recently made the same statement to our Pastor while we went through Deuteronomy but later read that the people went through the Jordan First and then when they were west of the Jordan, the new generation were circumcised to roll away the reproach of Egypt.
Then after healing, Joshua had an encounter with The Captain of The LORDS Host. Circumcision did not facilitate them crossing the Jordan, but rather crossing over Jordan facilitated their circumcision, their encounter with God and subsequently their conquest of Canaan..

Baptism DOES regenerate because to be baptized into Christ results in our "being raised WITH him" - this refers to "new life" which IS regeneration which occurs in baptism according to Rom 6 and Col 2:11,12.

Also this scripture for a proponent of baptism: Luke 20:4: Jesus asks, "John's baptism-was it from heaven, or from men?"
I believe since John the Baptist preached Baptism of repentance that baptism is also part of repentance (preparing the way of the Lord since: psalm 85:13 Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps.

Baptism DOES SAVE because to be "saved" is to be "saved from the power of sin" which is what baptism does. That is one "kind" of salvation. There is also glorification which is a different "kind" of salvation. Baptism does not necessarily lead to glorification. That depends on our obedience. Peter and Jesus both say baptism saves.

How would you describe the meaning of that the kingdom of God is here in a few sentences? Jesus used parables and His disciples and later on Philip & Paul "Preached" the kingdom of God. And we know it will come in its fullness at His return like you said in this video. But what does it exactly mean for us believers right here and now? It's a concept that seems so deep and so simple at the same time but no one talks about the concept.

If those who are in Christ (Jew and gentile alike) and we get new bodies.... During the 1000 year reign there will be people and rulers from other nations who have not yet accepted Christ who are still on the earth. Will they have the chance to accept Jesus and be saved during His 1000 year reign? And if so, do they get a new body and come to live in the New Jerusalem with us? Or do they have to wait? Not sure how this works 😊 curious to hear your input

Question: in Acts 15:20-21 it says what the Gentiles need to do when they come to Christ- basically stop their pagan ways . Then it says
“For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.” So, they will learn the old test enemy as they go each week to learn in the synagogue. It seems Gentiles were being taught the Jewish ways, but not their man made laws.

You draw a parallel between circumcision and New Testament baptism. However, to provide a comprehensive explanation, it’s essential to consider all significant aspects of circumcision. Two key points stand out:
    1. Circumcision was always the responsibility of the father.
    2. An eight-day-old baby had no choice in being circumcised.
These facts support the practice of infant baptism, as it mirrors the responsibility and decision being placed on the parent rather than the child. However, New Testament baptism is fundamentally different. In the New Testament, baptism is both a personal responsibility and a conscious choice made by the individual. How do you reconcile this difference?
Another question concerns the two distinct types of circumcision:
    1. The circumcision of the foreskin.
    2. The circumcision of the heart.
Both are Old Testament concepts and serve as symbols pointing to something in the New Testament. If circumcision of the foreskin symbolizes baptism, then what does the circumcision of the heart represent in the New Testament?

      Hi

But... the main argument from the Lutheran theology is that: baptism replaced circumcision as the sign of the covenant. Circumcision was for babies after 8 days, likewise baptism is for babies after 8 days.

In Col 2:11 the "circumcision done by Christ" is, literally, in Greek, "circumcision of Christ". This "circumcision" is speaking of His death on the cross. 100% of His "flesh" was "circumcised" through death. When you are "baptized into Christ," HIS death becomes YOUR death - that is, the death of the sin nature. So our sin nature gets "circumcised" through Christ's death in our baptism.

    • @bobthrasher8226
      @bobthrasher8226 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

@@TheLastReformation See your interlinear. It literally says "circumcision of Christ" in Col 2:11. That could be interpreted/translated as "DONE by Christ" or "the circumcision that happened to Christ" (on the cross). I prefer the second. By being "baptized into Christ" (Rom 6:3), everything that happened to Him gets applied to us. So His "circumcision" (death on the cross) becomes OUR circumcision - removal of sin nature. His death becomes our death. His resurrection becomes our new life. And we are now seated in heavenly places with Him because we are IN Him - all through "baptism into Christ."

Baptism is a work of God. “In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.”
      ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

    • @bobthrasher8226
      @bobthrasher8226 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@stevemiller8952 The text says the circumcision is not "by hands," not the baptism. Baptism is at the request of the new believer with the assistance of a disciple. But God is definitely involved in baptism. A miracle happens in baptism - circumcision+new life. This is why Paul says "salvation is not of works" - it is because a miracle is required to set you free - no amount of your work can achieve that.

Since we are circumcised by Christ in baptism, maybe that is why many people in these films suffer and scream so much. After all, circumcision on the body must have hurt, probably children screamed and struggled. Adults suffered as well. Are these screams and suffering during baptism that you can see in some cases circumcision?

@@tonosegovia9797 I don't believe that the path of repentance requires us to be all cleaned up before we die. God looks at the heart. He sees if we are trying and struggling through and he knows if we are being complacent and self-serving (Rom 2).
In 1 Timothy, Paul says that violating conscience shipwrecks one's faith. I am uncertain what that means. Shipwrecks don't go anywhere ever again, but I don't know if that is the point. The Old Testament certainly makes distinction between intentional sins and those of ignorance. In fact, Paul says he was forgiven BECAUSE he sinned against the church in ignorance.
I do not believe the Bible teaches that salvation cannot be forsaken. We can reject it, but I am starting to think it is ours as long as we continue trusting in Jesus' merits and not our own. Paul writes "if we reject him, he will reject us. If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot reject himself."
I'm still studying to understand fully.
