Yes... I bought this TNA from Japan and it must have had over ten different broken items in it. It wouldn't make any sounds or move. So I went to work on it. I got the sounds working again and I replaced broken gears, clutch and the motor. I didn't put a new high speed motor in it at all, but newer used regular motor. Sometimes when I replace a motor, the loco really takes off and sometimes they don't. I don't know if Tomy had different gear ratios over the different time range of the production of the TNA line or not. But your right, this one really moves. But it has trouble climbing slope track though. 😁
I had a similar experience occur when i put a new motor in my American TNA Thomas. Instead of going really fast like that Gordon my Thomas had no power and barely could go around a bend. Also i wanted to thank you for that Powerful Gordon, ive always wanted one of those Gordons and now i have one to enjoy and run around my layout. Thank you PGM😊
@Laneluvztomytracks You are very welcome... the one you have is an original Powerful Gordon from the early 2000s, not one my Tributes and is one of the last ones I have. Great job on videos and keep it up!
I would call them very uncommon here in the USA and well worth owning, but not rare. Rare is for Silver, Gold and Baby Star Shy Thomas'. Next level down for me are the USA/English speaking Talk and Action models followed by the Japanese exculsive speaking Talk and Action models followed by your 2nd Gen models. This is just my opinion, others my disagree and have a different list entirely. 😁
Wow that sucker moves!

would you ever do a t'n'a repair livestream?
I've never done a livestream... but I don't think so, because I don't have the right kind of equipment ro film it. 😄

Hey Mike I got a second generation tomy Percy and a second generation tomy Thomas are they rare just asking?
